  • Servicing a Kawasaki engine, changing the air filter, spark plug, fuel filter and an oil change. This Kawasaki engine on my Ariens Icon 42 Zero turn mower is the FR691V but the instructions will apply to similar Kawasaki engines and other lawnmowers. In the video I talk about buying genuine and generic replacement parts. If you have any questions or suggestions please leave them in the comments below. Sadly that was my first ever time doing any of those things but now I feel more capable thanks to you.
      One thing I didn’t expect was the amount of oil that spilled out when I removed the old filter. (Yes, the oil was all drained at that point). Made quite a mess but nothing some shop towels couldn’t clean up. Thanks again!

    Thanks again and hope your doing well!

    • @JimmyTheMower
      @JimmyTheMower  Před rokem

      They are great engines and the one you have should run for many more hours.
      With regards to oil build up on the intake its hard to diagnose over the Internet.
      Clean all associated pipework to clear any blockages and clean everything with carb cleaner and run some injection cleaner fluid through the fuel tank / lines. This makes combustion a little bit hotter and the solvents loosen any stubborn gunk and should burn off any excess.
      If the problem persists then you need to dive a bit deeper.
      Best of luck 👍

    • @JimmyTheMower
