I previously owned a 2016 3500 SRW CC 4WD with SO Cummins. I installed a custom tune. Instrumented tested 0-60 best time of 5.9 at 6200 ft above sea level. The Cummins is highly tunable.
My new 3500 I purchased Monday has the HO /Asin and I don't feel the upshifts are any more aggresive but do notice the downshifts slightly. Love the miirors, Alpine sound system solid. Now the scratch your head Ram stuff. In the 23 Bighorn if you opt for premium light group you cant add the tech group with the 12 inch screen so you wind up with halogen headlights and led tailights. Also I couldn't find a way to get a homelink garage opener in any configuration in a Bighorn.

I just got 2023 Ram 3500 Limited HO 6.7 DRW Crew Cab 4.1 gear and have not had time to test drive other than middle of traffic time. I wanted 3.73 but the dealer had 4.1 on the lot.. I am hoping to get about 16 mpg -17 mpg when driving empty doing 75 mph. If it gets little lower, I will just have to live with it. It rides great and interior cabin is super nice. It is little sluggish off line compare to 2020 F350 DRW 6.7.

We had standard output Cummins on a 2017 Laramie dually with a 3.42 rear axle and it struggled pulling our Keystone Cougar 368MBI. It did fine on level roads but if there was a hill to climb it would labor to make it.
Had a ‘14 Cummins/68rfe. It did seem to “hunt” for the right gear all the time, but I attribute that more to the 3.42 rear gears vs the tranny itself. On my 22 3500 srw SO Cummins, the tranny shifts smooth & fast. It always holds 6th gear even w/ my 3000 lb Lance camper & gets well over 20 highway mpg unloaded. That’s w/ an “antiquated” 6 speed tranny & 3.73’s. As far as a new tranny for 2024, I would assume Ram would go w/ the ZF powerline 8 speed.
I have the HO is my 22 ram dwr 3500 and with a s & b intake it makes the turbo kick in faster. I would say my 0-60 is pretty good and I have 35" tires on it.
I deleted and I have 37s, I get 24mpg. I'm also programed as well, cold air intake and monster ram air. I'm a 19 3500 dually

I own a 2500 2022 with a 68 RFE . I tow 10 to 18 thousand pounders all the time . At 94 thousand miles , while driving my transmission completely leaked all the oil . I have been waiting 2 weeks for my transmission to be replaced.

going down hill you get 7.6 seconds 0-60 , that’s my quickest time in a 3500 dually
Didn't they have recall on the standard out Cummins
The recall is on some 68RFE transmissions that were spewing oil out the dipstick when hot and starting fires.
Wheel weights on the outside. That pissed me off from factory

I wanna see 0-60 with a new “ho” Cummins, a “ho” power stroke and a new 2024 GM…. All with 4.10’s… except the gm because they don’t offer it and do all of them on the same day and temperature, and hook 15k pounds to the back of them. Then we’ll see what’s what.
The Ford would win by a large margin but if you want to tow commercially then the Cummins HO is the only way to go. Inline 6 is much more durable than a V8
