@@flowrepins6663 bro football "soccer" is not even that soft of a sport. yes players do dive to get penalties but shoving and fights still do happen and there is a lot of rough stuff aloud in football that there isnt in basketball for example: bodying, and slide tackling which can be dangerous. But on the other hand I do get your point because it has been getting softer and softer by the years. In the 1980's players would kick eachother in the face with cleats in a fight and refs would care on dirty plays.

This is awesome. Two guys having a fight during a hockey match. The umpires letting it happen. No-one is suspended. It used to be like this in Australian Football. Now it's like a game of marbles.

Technically it’s not allowed, each player gets a 5 minute major penalty for fighting. Though when one happens the refs will sometimes just let them go.

Usually you get five minutes in the box, and you may get a ten minute misconduct on the sheet, and usually for that you get sent off the ice. If you get sent off I’m not sure what the rules are about returning to the game

Is it a half time event?
Well fighting is how they "Settle" their tiffs with each other. If they have a problem with each other, they don't post about how bad the other player is, they just go to beat the snot out of them and leave it in the arena. So fighting really just erupts whenever, there's a 5 minute penalty for both of the people to let them destress. Anybody, as you saw, could just throw off the gloves and fight. No it's not a half time event.
Fighting helps the teams for many reasons, not the least of which is it is a great way to bond with your teams medical staff if you take one off the bugel.
There are penalties imposed if you lose.
Your teammates will require you to drop the soap in the shower stall and pick it up.
Teams usually designate a fighter before each game. It's most commonly the guy whose kids are voted most likely to commit a crime while on family vacation.
These fights are indeed, routinely held during half time festivities and always after Snoop Dog & J Lo entertain the happy hockey watching crowd.

There should be some common courtesy , where they both spit out their mouth guards , prior to punching on! This will allow the opportunity to either knock someone's teeth out , have your own teeth knocked out or have broken teeth embedded in your fists! Play on , in mad pain! There’s a bunch of “rules” that they use. Most fights start just because there’s so much contact in the sport, or because the star player got hit hard or something like that. The refs don’t stop it because normally there aren’t that bad of injuries (since it’s hard to land a good punch on ice), but they do give at least a 5 minute penalty for fighting

Feng Termyos it used to happen a lot, but it has started to die down the past 10-20 years. Now the players are starting to focus mainly on the game.
And yes a team can exploit the “rules”, but it’ll put a big target on their back for the rest of the game and sometimes it’ll carry on through future games
