Love the van. I just picked up my first van 2018 Honda odyssey ex-l for the family same exterior color with mocha interior they did a good job with this vehicle. Congratulations btw. Odysseys are number 1

It's alot different then my old 2002 Honda Odyssey that I had.
They've changed so much! And super comfy!

Okay, so I haven't watched the video yet but I bought a Honda Odyssey back in May. Well, when I left work yesterday, your new video alert popped up on my phone and I just checked to see what the alert was and saw that it was a review of the Honda Odyssey and thought "what in the world?! How does my phone know I just bought a new Honda Odyssey?! Freaked me out a but until realized what it was. Hahahaha!
Oh that's so funny! That legitimately happens to me all the time though! Like, my husband and I will be talking about something and then all of a sudden all the ads on my phone are about what we discussed! It's creepy! And congrats on your Odyssey! Do you love it??
@@ThomasEverAfter Yes I do love it! I have 3 kids like you and I'm not ashamed to admit I love a mini van. Ours is used though. We were going to buy new but we found a 2016 with only 3,000 miles on it and we just couldn't beat that price and mileage. An elderly man had owned it before and hardly drove it. I love it! Ours is kind of off white like yours too.
There's NOTHING wrong with used! And it sounds like you hit the jackpot with that one!! How amazing!! We usually only buy used. We had trouble finding one this time and with the Costco discounts it ended up being worthwhile. I'm glad you aren't ashamed of being a van mom! I'm proud, too! I'm all about comfort and practicality! 😘

Just picked up my wife a 2019 EX-L (non res/nav) on 12/31/18
Traded in our 2016 Touring Elite. Only things I dislike are the headlights and the poor sound system. Other than that it is an upgrade even at a lesser trim to what we had.
The TV screens honda uses for the entertainment systems are very poor quality that is why I did not bother with the res/nav package, plus with apple car play we have waze and google maps for nav.
And the honda vac is just novelty in the touring trims. The usable space from cubbies in the hatch are much more valuable.

That is funny! I'm fairly certain our phones are listening to us and that's why it showed up in suggested after you bought it. Lol. Thanks for the great comment. We wanted the TV for the kids and they are happy with what's there. I didn't want the nav but it's standard with the RES now. We just connect Google maps from our phones and sync it to the screen. Works great that way! And I'm totally with you on preferring storage to the small vac. I hope your family enjoys your new Odyssey!
Thomas Ever After We have 5 children and they were very disappointed the new van did not have a tv. I plan on getting an aftermarket tv and sound system put in. It is a great van and I hope it is as mechanically as reliable as our 2016 was. Still feels odd pushing buttons for the transmission though but I guess we will get used to it.
On a side note: I watch a lot of review videos and must say... you do a good job. Very informative and easy to follow along. Not painful to watch like some youtubers out there.
Yes, my husband mentioned doing an after market tv as well but we know us and even with good intentions, we don't have the best follow through! Lol! Also, thank you SO much! That compliment means more than you know. I appreciate your feedback 😊

Very much!! We've had it for almost a year and a half, have driven it and many road trips, and have about 25k miles on it already! 😳❤ It's super comfortable and the kids are happy with it, too. There's a LOT that a like. I think the one downside is that there seem to be blind spots on the sides of the front windshield. Not terrible, but I notice it over the 2006.

I enjoyed this video; and hoping to get a mini van even though my kids are all grown up; so next best thing is a road trip to visit the grown up kids. I can't decide which minivan to get; my wife can care less which one, since I do most of the road trip driving. I currently own a 2002 ford explorer and it serve us well for 16 years. . . but I need more cargo and passenger room.
A van would definitely fit the bill. We love ours. For our most recent trip, using our hitch cargo carrier, we fit my parents and I, 3 kids and all of our stuff for a month trip to disney. The ex-l that we bought has a lot of great options with it, but if you don't want/need the leather and DVD player, the ex is a really great value. You should at least go test drive the odyssey when you're ready to make a purchase. It handles really well on the road and open highway, and it's extremely comfortable for long road trips. No regrets!!
This is a slightly prophetic video as my wife and I are planning on car shopping this weekend, with an eye toward the Odyssey (or the Ridgeline). The one thing that keeps us from fully looking into mini-vans is lack of AWD. We are in Cleveland and can get some pretty mean snowstorms, as well as skiers so spend a lot of time driving in the snow. Have you had this one out in any inclement weather yet? Or even how did your old van handle in the snow?
We havent had it in bad weather yet, but we had the old one in indiana for 2 years. With front wheel drive and traction control, we've never had an issue. Im sure awd would be nice, but it really handles well in bad weather without. Plus, its not exactly a light vehicle, especially when loaded with stuff, so it does tend to get good grip on nasty roads.
@@ThomasEverAfter We decided to go with the Honda Ridgeline. Which will be really nice to be able to haul stuff without needing to take out two car seats. I think the next time we get a vehicle we will end up with a mini-van. It was really close, and the Odyssey is a really nice van. My friend with no kids just got one, still boggles my mind a bit.

When Bob and I were in Honda sales, we sold a lot of Odysseys to people without kids! They are so comfortable and practical for travel and everyday use! Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And yay to being part of the Honda family!! You actually need to go online to the Costco Auto program. You can fill out the online form or call directly. They will give you what you need for the dealership. I highly recommend speaking with Costco first! Any extra accessories are also discounted. I think we saved 10% on a trailer hitch kit and install and window visors. Let me know if it works for a lease! I'm curious to hear!

After a year of ownership, do you have any quirks or issues? I’m deciding between the odyssey and sienna. After doing some research I read that the ac for the 3rd row is not very cold and some issues with the electronic entertainment system. Thank you
Hi there!! We have only noticed that the trans shifts hard in low rpms going around 25 mph. Upon researching, this is something others have reported. It's our only issue and not severe but I'll be taking it in soon to get looked at. Thank goodness for warranties 🤘
