That was GREAT!!! Love the rear camera view. Glad you didn't lose the rear cam and discover it missing later.... Also really loved the crowd cheering at 8:38... had to replay that part again!!!
How's the bike holding up so far? That thing needs an air horn with the big rig sound for when you come up on slower riders LOL

The bike has been fantastic! No mechanical issues what so ever. We were super excited when we got that big cheer on! The rear mount we have set up now works really well. I’m going to switch from the gopro plastic handle bar mount to an AL one. The GoPro max has lense protection and an AL cage on it so it can take a blow. I’ll post some photos of the setup at some point for people to copy. The big issue is the part to mount it to the post is from an old aero bar set. Maybe I can convince one of those vendors in China to make them for cheap if I can show enough interest for folks to buy them.

Love it! You two are faster than me on an Enduro bike. :-) curious how did you make a video like this with the overlays showing stats?

Hi Ben, thanks! I use the data from my Garmin/phone and Garmin Virb software. I edit the movies as a continuous run in Premiere, export, add overlays in Virb, and then if I want to edit portions out I do another edit in Premiere.

What software did you use to overlay the map?

What brake pads do you use? Our tandem has no suspension and thus we ride slower (a bit), but the pads wear as if they are a throwaway.

Thinking about doing this run mtb tandem. How steep was it? did you have to hold the brakes a lot. I only have a front disc and rear rim :(

Flow trail isn’t known for being super steep but it has at least a few steeper sections. It is a trail that I think is fun for all skill levels. Beginners can take their time and experts will bomb it at high speeds including the corners.
First time we went down (early in my stoked learning to ride) we road the brakes and went less than half the speed we do today. If you manage the speed from the start then you’ll probably be fine. All that being said, I’d suggest riding it on a single once to get an idea if you’d feel comfortable.
