3.) Karamay (Star gooseberry) - April to June.
4.) Balimbing (Starfruit) - May to August.
SINIGWELAS FRUIT (Spanish Plum)
This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜
Test like plumps.
@@hellophilippines513 yeah also that fruit contains significant amount of vitamin c
Very healthy fruit ❤
Very nice korean people..and kind..im subscribe god bless..
I really appreciate your efforts in promoting Philippines foods and cultures.. Love you guys ❤
Sinigwelas...you can put salt of its green but if that is purple or red dark,no need to add salt.because its sweet already...and the vegetable that you guys see in a bag the white veggies thats jackfruit unripe,we Filipinos put coconut milk on it,with pork or dried fish, and the vegetable the green with a crinkly skin is bittermelon or ampalaya you can stir fry that with onions, garlic, tomatoes and scrambled eggs..its good especially for diabetic it will lower blood sugar...😊 because slightly bitter taste.(The trick for not bitter when you cook it is dissolve in water with salt for like 10 mins..then wash it again with a new water.😊..ginisang ampalaya with egg just search in CZcams...
siniguwelas (seasonal) only in dry season.
The redder it becomes, the sweeter it tastes.
One of my fave fruits, sinigwelas! No need for salt when it’s the ripe one. The green ones are crunchier and less sweet just like when mangoes are green and become ripe when they turn yellow 😊 glad you discovered another Philippine fruit that all of you enjoy ❤😊
What you guys are eating is called Spanish Plum. These are only seasonal fruits from April to May so you are lucky to have eaten them.
This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜
@@hellophilippines513 To be more precise Spanish Plum was brought in by the Spaniard from South America to the Philippines, like pineapples, Spanish plum, and avocado.
In siaton there are so many seguylas

I love this fruit too. It's sad that it's only available once a year. Love your channel, too!

Also try Camachile... and Aratilles (aratilles dosent bought on market)
Hi new fan here, I just started watching your vlog yesterday and I already watched a lot. Im a Filipino from central luzon 😊
Siniguelas or spanish plum! Thats one of my favorite fruits. In Manila it can be expensive compared to Visayas. Avoid the green one because it can be bitter. I like it best when the green color of the fruit changes a little bit to violet/purple. The softer it gets, the sweeter it will be.
This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜
@@hellophilippines513Just buy a lot if you can. Thats what I usually do. Enjoy the fruit while it is still available in the market because once the season is over you will have to wait another year to taste them.

Sinigwelas is one of my favorite fruit! I have not eaten it for a long time since I now live here in California. I miss it.

Apple with salt is good too
Here in the US we have this fruit in the part of Florida is called spanish plum
They call that Hog Plum as well. Here in Florida, we have the yellow and red variety. I still miss the purple variety from Philippines ❤
Few people are planting that fruit tree because it only bear fruits once a year and the fruits is not a lot, hope some researcher can improve the fruit tree to bear more fruits.
Explore more..try mangosteen..duhat..rambutan
We also put salt to other fruits like apples, raw mango, raw papaya, star fruit, etc.

That fruit is so yummy.. I love to eat that while watching movies..
This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜
The next fruit will be "Lomboy". If it's properly shaken with a little salt till the juice slightly comes out and properly softens the fruit? I should taste like none other fruits.❤
I haven't seen you try guanabana it has spikes on it and it is green I think you would love it
Don't eat this with empty stomach, and watch it thoroughly, otherwise you will have diarrhea. Don't eat too many at one go, because of acidity sometimes it will give you stomachache. The market is very clean and fresh❤❤❤❤
Sineguelas is one of my favorite fruit. Love that fruit ❤
This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜

This fruit was really delicious. 😛 It's sad that we can eat this again next year 😢 Thank you for watching our video💜💜💜

Siniguelas is almost like plum but plum is more fleshy and the seed is small. Enjoy the fruit now bec it only comes around once a year.
This fruit used to be the one of options for preventing nausea, vomiting, or dizziness when traveling during summer. the entire combo of options of ponkan, grape fruit, menthol candy and Spanish Plum. Now we have tablets that are more affordable.
Anything Lynn eats ---- IT'S GOOOOOD! 🥰🥰
sHE has Filipina taste bud
Thank you so much 💜💜💜
Hi, you can plant the seed of that "SINIGWELAS" fruit at your back yard.
That was my favorite fruit growing up. I moved to the US when I was 8 yrs old and when i came back to visit 45 years later there were no more sinegwelas in town in La Union. So sad.
salt is good when is not ripe enough but if it is ripe no need to add salt...
SINEGUELAS 😋
You can plant the seeds after eating them so you can have your own tree!!!
I miss this fruit 😊
Hello Korea.
Miss you LYNN KIM
It's delicious
It's best to eat it with salt if it's half ripe (when it's still crunchy)
No need salt for the sineguelas when it's green is sour when it's reddish it will be sweet
sinigwelas is our version of chadu (plums)
Really love to watch your videos more power ♥

I really love that siniguela especially the little bit ripe, not the over ripe but they're both eatable without salt but I prefer salt with chili not plain salt🤔

Sinegwelas one of my childhood favorite fruit,.The greenish red color is best when dip in salt because it taste sweet tangy and has a crunch to it but the red ones which is fully ripe and dont need salt because its already sweet but its no longer crunchy thats why i prefer the greenish red color or the less ripe ones..

add salt to the green ones becausethey are sour. red colored means it's already
ripe,no need for salt because it's sweet.
They put salt to balance the sweetness of the plum...
Sineguelas or Spanish Plum is a native to Mexico and the western coast of Central and South America. It is brought over by the Spaniards in the Philippine archipelago some 400 years ago.
