    4 small fruits that I love to eat with salt in our farm;
    1.) Siniguelas (Spanish Plum) - April to May (PEAK Season is May).
    2.) Duhat (Java Plum) - March to June.
    3.) Karamay (Star gooseberry) - April to June.
    4.) Balimbing (Starfruit) - May to August.

    Sinigwelas...you can put salt of its green but if that is purple or red dark,no need to add salt.because its sweet already...and the vegetable that you guys see in a bag the white veggies thats jackfruit unripe,we Filipinos put coconut milk on it,with pork or dried fish,and the vegetable the green with a crinkly skin is bittermelon or ampalaya you can stir fry that with onions,garlic, tomatoes and scrambled eggs..its good especially for diabetic it will lower blood sugar...😊 because slightly bitter taste.(The trick for not bitter when you cook it is dissolve in water with salt for like 10 mins..then wash it again with a new water.😊..ginisang ampalaya with egg just search in CZcams...

    One of my fave fruits, sinigwelas! No need for salt when it’s the ripe one. The green ones are crunchier and less sweet just like when mangoes are green and become ripe when they turn yellow 😊 glad you discovered another Philippine fruit that all of you enjoy ❤😊

    What you guys are eating is called Spanish Plum. These are only seasonal fruits from April to May so you are lucky to have eaten them.

    I am happy you discover different fruits!!!! When we were children we'd pick them off the trees on the way home from a morning hike. I remember when it wasn't in season I always notice the tree and wait for the fruits. 😂

    that siniguwelas fruit taste better when the color turns to green. Oliver is correct, it is called spanish plum in english. Its one of my favorite because its a seasonal fruit and its hard to come by in my place .

    Siniguelas or spanish plum! Thats one of my favorite fruits. In Manila it can be expensive compared to Visayas. Avoid the green one because it can be bitter. I like it best when the green color of the fruit changes a little bit to violet/purple. The softer it gets, the sweeter it will be.

    = makopa (color pink)
    = duhat (purple)
    = camachile (green)
    = santol (yellow)
    = chico (brown)
    Just to name a few.

    Usually when its flowering, the leaves are still attached on the branches ....but when the fruits begun to grow, all the leaves will start yo fall. Only yhe fruits remain attached on the branches with all the leaves gone.here in luzon theseason is fr.april to may also

    They call that Hog Plum as well. Here in Florida, we have the yellow and red variety. I still miss the purple variety from Philippines ❤

    Few people are planting that fruit tree because it only bear fruits once a year and the fruits is not a lot, hope some researcher can improve the fruit tree to bear more fruits.

    The next fruit will be "Lomboy". If it's properly shaken with a little salt till the juice slightly comes out and properly softens the fruit? I should taste like none other fruits.❤

    Don't eat this with empty stomach, and watch it thoroughly, otherwise you will have diarrhea. Don't eat too many at one go, because of acidity sometimes it will give you stomachache. The market is very clean and fresh❤❤❤❤

    green banana also is one of my favorite ❤that's senegwelas/PH Plum is season months April to July I think 😊but to Korean who don't like salty,u can eat it straight without salt,,filipino usually dip it in salt especially if the color is combination of red/green,,but if the color already reddish u can eat it straight coz that's sweet 😋

    Siniguelas is almost like plum but plum is more fleshy and the seed is small. Enjoy the fruit now bec it only comes around once a year.

    This fruit used to be the one of options for preventing nausea, vomiting, or dizziness when traveling during summer. the entire combo of options of ponkan, grape fruit, menthol candy and Spanish Plum. Now we have tablets that are more affordable.

    That was my favorite fruit growing up. I moved to the US when I was 8 yrs old and when i came back to visit 45 years later there were no more sinegwelas in town in La Union. So sad.

    I really love that siniguela especially the little bit ripe, not the over ripe but they're both eatable without salt but I prefer salt with chili not plain salt🤔

    Sinegwelas one of my childhood favorite fruit,.The greenish red color is best when dip in salt because it taste sweet tangy and has a crunch to it but the red ones which is fully ripe and dont need salt because its already sweet but its no longer crunchy thats why i prefer the greenish red color or the less ripe ones..

    It's already ripe so you don't need salt but if that fruits color green you need salt coz the sour and sweetness combination makes you taste better but for me no need salt if I eat that unless is unripe. Nice content 😊
