Coastal Towns of Maine - Rockland, Rockport, and Camden

- Maine is home to many coastal towns including three beautiful communities located along the Penobscot Bay. I check out some of the great coastal towns of Maine: Rockland, Rockport, and Camden.
Rockland, Maine is home to the annual Maine Lobster Festival and has a vibrant arts community. The town is also home to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse which the breakwater spans about 4346 feet into the water. While in Rockland, I stop by to get a lobster roll from the Lobster Shack.
Rockport, Maine is the smallest of the three towns, but the small downtown area is quite beautiful, and the harbor is very picturesque. The town also has a memorial to Andre the Seal.
Camden, Maine is a town full of shops, restaurants, and parks. After exploring the downtown, I head over to Megunticook Lake for beautiful views of the landscape and then conclude by heading up to Camden Hills State Park for the most breathtaking views of the entire Penobscot Bay area from the top of Mount Battie.

Thanks so much for an amazing video. Great job!
Thanks for watching!
Very cool. Haven't been to Maine yet, but it's high on my road trip list.
I highly recommend it! Maine has that classic New England feel with a flavor of Northern Michigan but with more mountains. Maine is really cool! Thanks for watching!
Another great video, Scott !!! I’ve been to Camden and Rockland before but only briefly, so it was wonderful seeing your more in- depth video of these lovely mid-coast Maine towns, along with the town of Rockport. I enjoy your videos so much and look forward to your next one when you go to Acadia National Park ! Keep on traveling and inspiring us with your videos !!!
Thanks! All three towns are quite nice. My favorite part was that breathtaking view on top of Mount Battie. Thanks for watching!
@@scottman895 I agree - that view from Mount Battie was spectacular and is something I hope to do the next time I visit Camden ! Looking forward to your next video !
Look the water with wave sound so fresh, mountain with green trees I like this video my good friends!!!
Maine is quite beautiful! Everything is very fresh and clean up in Maine. Thanks for watching!
Nice that visited more of Maine! Do you have any more upcoming freeway vids? Also, I suggest you listen to Skybreak - Unity!
For sure! I have a couple more videos from Maine left including a freeway video which will go live this Thursday! Thanks for the recommendation!
Great video! Thanks for posting!
Another fun fact: If you’re into poetry, the great poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay, was born in Rockland, Me. Much of her poetry is based on her life experience in the three towns you cover here.
Thank you very much! I had no idea about her. That's really cool though! Thanks for watching!
Suggestion: Always begin your video with a map that clearly shows the location of the places your are discussing. People from the South, Midwest and West have no idea of the location of these towns.
That's not a bad idea. I used to do that in older videos from several years ago, but I had to cut it out to shorten the intro. I always could see how I can implement them into the video without interrupting the flow of the video.
There is a Rockland, Ontario down the river from Ottawa.
I think I have heard of Rockland before. I probably passed it when I drove one time from Ottawa to Montreal.
@@scottman895 there is also a Rockwood near Guelph too.
@@robertsitch1415 Gotcha. There is also a Rockwood here in the Metro Detroit area.
@@scottman895 Rockwood, Ontario even has a conservation area with the same name nearby too.
@@robertsitch1415 That's a very good idea. It definitely makes finding either one much easier.
Is that where Kenny Chesney filmed his video for “knowing you”
It wasn't filmed in Maine, but it was filmed down in Gloucester, Massachusetts which is not too far away from there.
