Great review! You're the first person to take the blazer off road. Something I was eager to see. You have the most in depth reviews, thank you . God bless
Great review, Very entertaining. Like your attitude and perspective. No sugar coating, As all car reviews should be. Had me laughing at times, Especially during your hike lol. Nice job
Just bought an NX200t so wanted to see how I did. Been watching your channel now for a few days and will recommend it to anyone in the market! Great job and content! 👍
I found my local dealer ready to come down on that pesky MSRP by nearly $10K. I got my 2020 3LT model out the door for $33k Not a bad price for such a nice vehicle. The V-6 is marvelous and will drop back to 4 cylinders with the displacment on demand feature. I looked at other vehicles in this class and the biggest disappointment is the Toyota Highlander with small entry doorways and unacceptable road noise. I did the road noise test drive on the same pavement i drove the Blazer just to make the test a fair comparison. I am very pleased with my new Blazer.
Just bought a new RS based on this review among others. Love it to death. Handles awesomely. Great looks and performance. Did NOT pay sticker for it. Thanks for the useful review bud.
Thank you for the informative video! It answered things I didn't think to check out when I test drove one. I will be taking advantage of all of the rebates and getting this AWESOME car this week. I love the dary gray but after seeing the temp. difference on the lighter colors and living where it gets warm...Lighter is the way to go :-) THANK YOU
Auto start stop deact switch coming for 2020. And GM has had the auto volume control for well over a decade...like my 01 Grand Am had the same feature (although you could completely turn it off in most GM vehicles).
Great in-depth review! Can you explain how reducing the tire pressure to 32 would be better? Also what if the vehicle is in an average 45 degree weather?
I am thinking about buying a 2020 RS. Its have auto stop off switch. But the prices are super high. But I found one in the mid 30k I think GM realizes they are so expensive, Cause the lots are full of them to the point I think they are losing money .
GM is way high on their MSRP's and everyone knows it so you have to go and grind out a real price at the dealership which is always fun. They have to discount everything at some point. Decent MPG and powertrain might be good but it will still be a risk going with an all new GM vehicle.
Yo. I know what you are talking about with those 9-speeds in those Chrysler’s. If you were to step on it right away then step on the break. You’ll feel that weirdness of the transmission of the car still pulling forward when slowing down.
If you were to put some firestone tires on that car. OH BOY. The car ride would be a hella lot more quiet. And smooth. I had firestone tires for my impala when it was newer. And man. The car ride was super super quiet. And smooth as hell. But I buy cheap tires now. Saves time tho.
You should be able to bypass the start stop by putting the shifter in low manually shift up to 9 gear leave it in low it will shift just like drive but eliminates start stop
It's all relative. $50,000 in 2019 translates to about $18,500 in 1984. That was the price of a typical new Nissan 300ZX Turbo V6 base model. They (to me) were expensive cars, as the avg priced car then was $11,500. It's all relative. Info taken from "Dollartimes Inflation Calculator."
You said In this video that you just did a road test on a xt4 before this blazer, while not really apples to apples im curious as to your opinion comparing these 2. Narrowing down my choices for my wife's next SUV.
@@chadhaire1711 No I'm going to...I haven't seen anyone mention these 2 let alone compare them as they are in different classes. I will go test drive them both as well. That being said price aside which one would you pick and why?
@@richp5064 Any vehicle that does not have a disconnect button for that engine START-STOP system that cuts engine power out at stop lights is a deal killer for me, so no Blazer for me. I just can't get myself to pay $50K for that Caddy. Neither of these are my taste but that does not mean they are not for you. For $43k I still think the KIA Telluride is the best I drove this year. You should watch that video I did as well.
@@chadhaire1711 thanks for the reply I agree im a truck guy I just got 19 silverado RST crew cab. This is for my wife. We like to lease (so MSRP is not really the biggest concern, residual value and money factor is)and have a new car every 3 years.
Dealer loaned me an rs for the last couple days to let me see if it would work for me. I quite liked it. Currently drive a 17 Camaro 2ss bought there so if I was going to let it go I wanted something that for an suv would handle and stop decently.....it does. Plus I was surprised at its get up and go. I’ve tested the Mecan , RDX, and Passport and I like the blazer rs the best so far.
You are incorrect that the Start/Stop feature wears out the engine and does not save fuel for most areas. The new starters have been re-engineered to take on the additional load brought on by the start/stop feature. Also, if you are to stop for ~6 seconds or more, then you will have saved fuel from turning the engine off. It only doesn't save fuel if you have a quick stop, like at a stop sign. It will also only turn off if you went over 20kms/hr (~12miles/hr) and if your A/C and Heat are not currently running.
Equinox isn’t compact. The Trax is. The Equinox is sub-compact. The blazer is like a mid-sized. And the traverse I would say would be an over-sized-Mid SUV. Full sized for the Tahoe XL for the Suburban.
No wonder my black 2011 Chevy Impala is having problems staying alive in the heat. The car is like 130 DEGREES. When it’s 105 outside here in Vegas. No wonder my car is wanting to stall super weird.
"...The Blazer is the family vehicle that actually appeals to the whole family, and for that reason it upsets the Honda(Passport)on its home court." I think the Motor Trend staff was weeping when they wrote that!
Planning to drive one with V6. Seems u get more for the money $40-43K in other brands like Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, even Honda and Toyota. Chevys always too much cheap plastic and the Cadillac cousin of these is $10-15K overpriced. Can’t shut off auto stop/start is a deal breaker for me but I heard 2020 model solved that. Will say The new Chevy touch screen is best out there, just as good as an I-Pad.
A short wheel base Chevy Traverse... BIG FAIL. Chevy could have designed a cool boxy Blazer throw-back, but no, just rebadge the existing Chevy Traverse.
“Once again, Chevy got it right”. I’ll tell you what they didn’t get right.... using that poorly designed 3.6 litre V6 and that failed 9 speed transmission. The 2 most expensive main components of the automobile. Junk.... overpriced junk!
I just love that you deliever the information in such a nonchalant manner. 😎

Dave - Keep an eye on these cars. I bet the prices will come down. Yeah, I think Chevy has the price on high side. They are real sharp looking though.
Im 25 and currently at about 6 grand saved. Im walking into a dealership once i hit 10-12k lol. Im excited to have one of these :)

This the best and honest review. $50,000.00 it’s a lots money but I am sure Chevy will bring some rebates.

I'm still struggling to like the design of having the headlights lower on the front end such as with the Juke and Cherokee as well as this.
If you watched my headlight test they work great, so why complain about where they are?
