There’s a nice little feature in the 2024 model: marking lights. It shines a high beam on pedestrians which are in front, even if you have low beams only active.

I hear sound from hood the moment door is opened and headlights are turned ON. It doesn’t happen during day. Do you also notice it? Or, is it VW or German thing? Note: Engine is not even started! Only auto headlights get turned ON. Noise is getting into head!

90% of vehicles come from the factory with the headlights either to low or to high. I get every manufacturer is trying to appease IIHS since they’re rating headlights now, but this is just dangerous! I suggest everyone aim their headlights when buying a car, new or used, and use the Daniel Stern guide to lighting (the only accurate source for aiming headlights) to properly align them. People are always amazed what an inch to low actually equates to in down the road vision!
