When I clicked i was rather hoping for advice what to do with the tea leaves in the evening after the tenth-or-so brewing...
I'm sorry about that. Perhaps we can do a video about this in the future about composting the leaves, eating them, etc.
This is great advice for getting the most out of tea leaves and not wasting them!
Thank you so much! If you want to try some tea our Black Friday deals are going on now: nioteas.com
My third, and fourth washes are always the best! But you should have a 12 oz glass tea pitcher to collect it in before its poured into glasses. Love your teapot. I have several, as the Japanese clay pots are best !!!
Yes I believe you are talking about some kind of fairness cup? We have not seen this being used for Japanese green teas very often, they mostly use the alternate pouring method. I guess not quite as precise as the fairness cup but it certainly looks cool! We currently have some great deals on tea ware if you're interested: nioteas.com/collections/japanese-kyusu-teapot
@@Nioteas I never really thought of it before, but I use and prefer Japanese teaware, with Chinese tea. Ever since I saw a Japanese woman go around and around to each teacup several times to make sure they were all about the same concentration, I decided to use a fairness cup.
Super helpful. Thanks ❤

Gyokuro is edible after the 3 steeps.

how long are the used tea leafs good for? Can we brew throughout the day or should all three cups be brewed quickly?
you can brew throughout the day but I wouldn't allow more then 4-5 hours in between brewings
@@Nioteas Thank you for the response! 🙏❤
you're very welcome! I hope you got to try some great teas!
Is it okay to leave over night? Great channel
no you shouldn't leave the leaves out overnight! They will go bad
@@Nioteas how many hours or minutes is it okay to leave it for reinfusing? Coz i don't think I can drink 3-4 cups in one seating. 😔
@@Lily-gb7jq Pour out re-infused tea into a glass thermos mug/flask & it should stay hot for a few hours.
Does this work with any tea?
yes it can but it works best with Japanese green tea
I find that 4 brews out of green is maximum. The 5th is pretty much tasteless 😅
yes I do agree with that
What about teas other than green teas?
yes you can get many brewing out of all loose leaf teas
Can't use that much tea everyday. Too expensive
it can be only $1 per day! By the way, if you are interested in trying some of our teas we have our summer sales going on now: nioteas.com/
@@Nioteas bullsh..
Tea is expensive! Especially when it's made in Japan or China
yes it can be, but during Black Friday it is quite affordable! If you want to try some tea our Black Friday deals are going on now: nioteas.com
Yeah but it’s way better
