My inlaws live 35kms inland of alicante and we always try and go to Benidorm as part of when we stay with them. Keep doing what you love. My wife's started watching these with me now and been watching the places we've been with the kids, with the kids watching.

I watched this video whilst in Benidorm 28th Sept 2022 and decided to try Ray's Chippy for myself today 29th sept.Had large cod,chips and peas.I was amazed at the freshness,taste and quality.WOW !.Best fish I had in my whole life and that's no exaggeration.

That is only one of them, last time I went to Ray's it was in old Benidorm about 22 years ago ;)

I have found a place here in Canada that does excellent fish and chips...and that is hard for me to say coming from Grimsby....but it does look really strange to see you eating fish and chips in a hot country....looked really good though. Uh oh...gotta go get some nowđ

I'm from Norwich, and live in Oregon. There are SO many great seafood restaurants on the Oregon coast, but I've never been able to find fish and chips like the ones from English chippies!

Rays chippy in the Old Town, is the original, and the best! The Corner Bar also does excellent Fish & Chips!
Best place in Benidorm for fish & chips is The Corner Bar đ
Make the most of it. British fish and chips - the white wet fish is mostly from Russia; the sunflower oil and wheat flour comes mostly from the Ukraine; the electricity comes from France, Norway, the Netherlands; some of the oil and gas comes from Russia, more in the EU, etc. The cost of fuel and all the rest of it means that fish and chips in the UK might be going up by 4 x the current cost. So, get down to your local chippy while you can!

While here, eat local. Not stuff for tourists. Get out of town and go to a village and have lunch where locals eat. You wonât regret

It will be, lot of British been out there years but Benidorm will change post-Brexit now we can't just rock up and open a bar/restaurant...I went in Feb and it was still as good as ever for now though.
No its not british run. The bar behind the penny farthing is british run by gail and andy and there fish n chips is the best in benidorm. I used to work there and take home fish n chips every friday after my shift đ

The reason the water upsets you is it has different chemicals than the water your are used to UK Water upsets me when I visit

Hi love your content. You are actually at the wrong Ray's, the original Ray's is at the old town up a little side street...near dove Park...it is run by a family and they have been there for years...much better than the Ray's on lavente.

You should have had the large fish , I find in any fish and chip shop the mini fish is never as good as the large . Itâs was great to see you just having mushy peas and Tatar sauce with your food , people who have curry sauce and gravy makes me cringe . Cheers
I don't understand why people do this, travel to a beautiful foreign country & immediately look for the the things they can easily find in the UK instead of enjoying the amazing cuisine that foreign country has to offer đ€·ââïž oh well, each to their own I suppose đ

Brits have only ever gone to Spain for the weather. That's it. I personally don't mind a bit of Spanish grub, but the first thing I normally do when arriving at the resort is find out where I can get a decent full English.
It's just our culture.
