Hello Duf compliments for your videos I follow you from Italy !! I wanted to ask you for advice, yesterday I bought my monster 22 equal to your red 1600. Today, all day long, having tried in a parking lot, to take our hand. But I noticed a strange behavior that I do not know if it's a normal thing or if I have a defect, now I'll explain .. Basically, I realized that when i turn right the pedals lean down, almost preventing me to keep the body in forward, forcing me to stop. While if i turn left the pedals get up preventing me from turning. Do you do the same thing? I hope it is something that can be arranged with its specific app. I hope you can help me with your Monster experience thank you !!
What you describe is interesting. Depending on how hard you turn, I have felt a what feels like a dip sometimes in the pedals as you turn. However I have not had the heeling of the pedals raising as I turned. However I can tell you when I first got the Monster my body had to adjust a lot to be able to get comfortable turning the wheel. You probably should give it some more time to see how it feels.
Old thread, but maybe it will help the next guy.
I ran into this issue with my new monster v3 yesterday & was thrown forward and off the wheel. Careful calibration eliminated the issue.
I suspect that it is due to the large wheel-size causing an extreme case of the 'right-hand rule' of gyroscopes (courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-physics/chapter/vector-nature-of-rotational-kinematics/).
I suspect that this occurs with all wheels & that the calibration is designed to compensate for this, but that the monster is simply much more sensitive.
yes. good :D
Good idea, but if your surface is not level, neither will the wheel be. I use a bubble level (clinometer app on amdroid) on pedals and support. That makes it 100% level
I agree, I just assumed my garage floor is close to level.
Dufisthenics Floor needs to be level and bricks needs to be totally square. Otherwise two errors that can add on. On the other hand, as long as it feels good after leveling 0degree might not be the best for everyone. Some people might like riding "constant speed" slightly forward or backward leaning. But regardless, nice video...keep it up :-) I heard someone mentioning in EUC forum that sideway tilt can affect as well. I don't know how (unless gyro is not mounted correct inside) but I guess in the end...if it feels right for you, it is right:-)
Is that the wheel log app
No old Gotway app.
dof would u know why my gotway monster leans forward when im going up hill it leans so dab i had to get off bc my pedles was leaning forward bad
@@Duf i calibrate it after and it did the same thing started learning forward
