This video was shot before the peak Sakura period, when we were advised by the government to simply practice social distancing and hygiene. Crowds were minimal by tokyo standards and we wanted to put out one more video for you guys, as we felt you all needed a dose of happiness. Starting this weekend, many shops have been closed to discourage people from going out unless absolutely necessary. Although the city isn’t currently in lockdown, cases have spiked in recent days . We strongly advise everyone in Japan to stay home as per recent government guidelines. To everyone around the world, please stay safe and lets all do our part. I'm so glad to have a new episode of TabiEats while stuck in self-quarantine with my family. I was just watching one of your episodes from a few years back today on plate lunches in Hawaii. I was born and raised in Honolulu and was feeling nostalgic for some of my old haunts while staying at home. What I would give to have some Zippy's fried chicken right now!

I just adore takoyaki, I just wish that in Europe I could put on bonito overload like you can:(. And that sashimi bowl with rice 🍛 unbelievable salmon, salmon roe and the works.

I wanted Satoshi to do the dance video! Our 7-11 only had the chocolate biscuits, rolls dipped in chocolate, and their version of lovers kiss (which was not bad). The takoyaki looks so good. It was so crowded when I went pass on my last visit,I kept walking. Major regret.
The first sakura season in a very long time where the Japanese people can enjoy their local bloom without 10 million tourists. It will probably never happen again in our lifetime. While I'm sad my trip was cancelled this gives me some consolation. Stay safe guys.
Well least somewhat of a good thing that comes out of this covid 19 thing is that it's less crowded in places you wanted to go to on a normal day. Satoshi actually got to try a place that deterred him before because it was too busy

The inside of the ball of goodness shivers+, mini size plates is a really good idea fish looks great, the Katsu for our Italian friends, the Korean sausage sauce splash shivers++, the custard fish looks fantastic and is on our menu
I went to Ueno Park when I visited Tokyo last month. It was definitely one of my favorites, even though only the winter cherry blossoms were blooming yet.

Oh, my goodness, that mench-katsu looks amazing. I fell in love with the one at Satou in Kichijoji. I like seeing the big pieces of onion on the one you got from Oyama. That'll have to go on my list of spots to ht up when I can visit Tokyo again. :D

In Toronto, the closest we get to something like this sort of Street Market is a place called Kensington Market. On any given Saturday during the summer oh, it's the best place to be in the city. Lots of different foods from different parts of the world. You can just go in pick something up and continue walking around. hopefully this summer we'll have a chance to do that. Stay safe, guys.

Before TabiEats, I never paid attention to takoyaki. Now, it’s one of my favs! Another great video on yummy food. I'm not a fan of sashimi but those rice bowls looked goood.... Between the menchi katsu and taiyaki, I think I'd choose taiyaki for the custard cream and kawaiiness. Please take good care of yourselves, especially now.
This video makes my mouth water. I can't wait to one day come and visit Japan and try the food there! I'm surprised it's so easy to stay thin in Japan (since according to statistics there are very few overweight people) in spite of all this deep-fried and carb-heavy stuff. I suppose the portions are quite small and people don't regularly these types of dishes on a regular basis?

I’d love to go to Japan during hanami season. Only problem is I bet it’s really busy and heard lots of foreigners go there that time of year to see them aswell. You’ll be in lines forever.

i would try all the foods first before adding any extra sauces or garnishments to get a true flavor of all the foods..just my suggestion..everything always looks so good guys..be safe out there..

You can get Bonito flakes quite easily in europe. Either ordered online or from the local asian supermarket. We always make sure we don't run out :)

Temerivia They eat multiple small dishes until they are comfortably full and most dishes are vegetables, rice and soup with one bowl of meat protein.
