I never cared for Victory Principal that much but was sorry she left because she was a part of the ORIGINAL cast! Sue Ellen is the one I always wanted to overcome. That was my hope in the reboot! Sue Ellen was my favorite character other than J.R!

lol poor Linda Evans.. she ended up being third banana on Dynasty instead behind Joan Collins and John Forsythe. The original cast of Dallas ended up all being a star of the ensemble! The opening credits of Dallas was done in alphabetical order, knots landing as well but Falcon Crest, Dynasty and the Colbys were about importance of star billing
Larry Hagman made sure that the set was fun and when Patrick Duffy left during the dream season 1985-86, the driving force behind Dallas, Leonard Katzman also left and Phil Capice took over. Larry Hagman hated the tension and the direction that Capice was taking the show to be like more Dynasty, that he Took Capice to lunch and basically telling him that he didn’t like what the show was turning into, and the tension and yelling going on the set. Larry told Capice that he had to leave and that Larry demanded Leonard Katzman’s return. Phil Capice said that it was out of the question and Larry said that he would leave the show.. When Lorimar heard that, the next day, Capice was i his way out and Katzman was coming back as executive producer and started the wheels in motion for the return of Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing.. Larry thrived in a laidback setting and having fun because he knew they all worked hard and each cast member knew how to give their best for the characters they portrayed and what fans expected. I agree that Leonard Katzman definitely had to return and a true fan could always tell the episodes that Leonard Katzman directed.. at least I could because he is the one who steered the show to appeal to more men than women. Dynasty was the opposite. Then again, Dynasty was a pale imitation of the Granddaddy of the Night time soaps!
Here's some other fun facts. Robert Foxworth (Chase Gioberti Falcon Crest) was considered for the role of Bobby Ewing as well. Another Actress who was considered for the Role of Pam Ewing was Judith Chapman who played Angelica Devereaux on Days Of Our Lives, Ginny Webber on General Hospital and of Course Gloria On The Young & The Restless. She and Crystal Chappell, and Billy Warlock are Three Days Alumni who worked on Soaps on All Three Networks.

I was named after SueEllen so I've finally been watching it now at age 40. I prefer Dynasty but I like Dallas too. I just love Alexis but I do love a lot of the cast on Dallas. SueEllen,JR,Pam,Bobby,Lucy and the Ewing parents but I feel like Ray and Donna are boring characters. Lol I just like the glam of Dynasty.
