    I remember the whole "Who Shot JR" epic event! I was only 11 years old and I had a T-Shirt to wear all summer that asked "Who Shot JR"! You couldn't run from Dallas in my childhood. It was on at home, my aunts and my grandparents homes each week! LBVS

    I am so glad that Jim Davis felt like he finally made it with Dallas and the "Jock" character.
    But, that makes it all the more so very sad that his time was cut short. :(

    Jock was the best character on Dallas and no one could play him better than Jim Davis rip

    I loved Linda Gray on Models Inc. too. I wish that show would have had more seasons.

      I thought it started well, but was too ridiculous once Emma Samms was brought in.

    The cast of Dallas really were close off screen unlike the cast of Dynasty.

    • @TheEwing69
      @TheEwing69 Před 8 lety +5

      +Saxon C very true, one of the reasons most of the original cast were STILL on the show, in it's 9th season, Dynasty lost most of their original cast, by season 5.

    Why wasn't Susan Howard mentioned or interviewed? she was an important part of Dallas too

    I love Dallas. Susan Howard, Linda Gray, and Victoria Principal were the best night time soap women in Dallas. It is sad that these three women were not on the last two seasons of Dallas.

      Yes,but I think Linda Gray was there or not,you mean the remake or in the past 1991 the last two seasons? When Dallas came in the 80s we all (I was a teenager ;-) run at home to watch it but when the serie began,( I was too young when Dallas first serie came with Jock Ewing) my parents said:No,it comes too late you have school tomorrow! I was 7/8 years old !!!It came here in Germany at 09:45 pm - 10:30 pm and (I don´t know when Dallas began here in Germany) I think 1979/80?Because England was one year forward with Dallas and years later in 1985...my first time in England I saw that they was really forward and the dreamscene from Pam with Bobby was heavy ,when I was 1986 in England:London and Great Yarmouth then my guestfamily said:Bobby is dead(they were really sad).One year later when I was coming back I said Bobby is in Germany dead too now but they all said that he is alive again and Pam dreamed that all,I thought they would kidding me but yes I saw it one year later in my country...sorry for my english.Greetings from Germany

    Only Jim Davis could be Jock Ewing. Only Larry Hagman could be John Ross Ewing Jr. The same goes for Pam & Sue Ellen and most of the others. However I was never a big Barbra Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie. I can think of several ladies who could have played the part better including one who did for 1 season... Donna Reed. Barbra Hale (Della Street) would have been a great Miss Ellie. As would Bette White or Paula Prentess or Patrica Neal. Just my opinion.

    I love Patrick Duffy, but I also love Dack Rambo. Both guys were really cute and built in the !980's. Dack Rambo has stated in many interviews that the cast never really warmed up to him and were not friendly to him. Sad situation.

    What happened to Patrick's parents is such an unimaginable tragedy. I can't imagine the mental strength it took to move forward from that.

    Wrong, ET. Charlene was once again let go in 1990. They should have kept her in the final season, which had only three original cast members at that point.

    I wonder how Charlene Tilton reacted when she found out that Erin Moran was Homeless since they played Enemies on Happy Days.

    • @TheEwing69
      @TheEwing69 Před 8 lety

      +laminage Probably the same way I just did, nothing to do with her, bad choices made by Erin.

    • @laminage
      @laminage Před 8 lety

      Yeah but considering that at one point Erin was on a successful TV Series and Charlene was still paying her dues it must have been kind of sad.

    • @laminage
      @laminage Před 7 lety +1

      Yeah and now Erin Moran is Dead. Charlene Tilton's Manager took her for everything, also remember how Patrick Duffy's Parents were killed by some Psycho.
