The Skins site says that this is a cover of "Cast - Mon Beaux Village" but I can't find it anyway. Grammatically it should be "Mon Beau Village" so I searched for that too, but still couldn't find it. I'd appreciate any more info, because she's not singing the exact lyrics I've found either, and I can't find her version online.

Yes, it's called "Mon beau village" or "Connais-tu mon beau village ". It's an old French poem (written by Frédéric Bataille) and it was adapted into songs so many different versions exist today especially in Africa. It seems very popular in Africa. From what I've understood, it's widely taught in schools and various musicians have adapted the text with lyrics about their own villages. A very late reply I know. We know that Thomas is from Congo but Andrea might be born in the UK and only her father, the priest is from Congo. This makes sence since Andrea has got a british accent unlike Thomas and they speak english to eachother and not french.

@@trigglypuffnohatespeech9984 Well, I've talked with peole from Congo too, thus native French speakers, and they wouldn't say "dirait" with the same rhoticity in the R nor "paysages" with such a plosive P... among other things like superflous diphtongs "on dirAIt" or very English "i" in "nid". That's only my experience of course.
