I think if they do a secret cup, then I think it should be called the mystery cup only because the special cup is allready been taken from the start! And that was ages ago since the very first Mario kart game was playable.

Whether they finish the wave with the Spiny Shell cup or a secret extra cup, I hope the final course is Wii Rainbow Road. That would be the perfect track to end on, given its popularity and difficulty. It would be like the dev's final challenge to MK8D players, and a proper sendoff for the game

I just really want more vehicle frames in the game. When I look back at especially MKDS and MKW, there are so many fun vehicle designs that I would love to see in MK8DX.
Man for a while I thought I was the only one who was thinking this especially after getting new characters. The first mk8 dlc all the way back in 2015 added some car parts so why not now?
We're now on wave 6 and some people still haven't realized that they are only adding tracks from Tour, if a track isn't in Tour it's not coming to the Booster Course Pass, simple as that

Ok love this idea but imagine an all course cup like the one from Double Dash. A 100 course cup would be absolutely insane I know it will never happen but what a way to go out with a bang.

i’ve been saying this to my gf for a while that they should just surprise us and put 8 tracks in each cup
My friend thinks it makes sense so you have 100 tracks, which she describes as an "even 100".
But if we use "even" to mean can divide by 2, then 96 is more even cause you can divide it by 2 more times (96, 48, 24, 12, 6, 3).
Pipeline got replaced with ice world
A secret cup seems… possible. However I can’t see them just putting more retro tacks in, because basically all of the booster course pass’ cups have retro tracks. If you really need trophies in all cups to unlock it, I assume they’d have all new tracks, and maybe even a new rainbow road.

I don’t think they’re gonna add more crossovers. I could maybe see one, but they’re trying to keep Mario kart mostly Mario characters.

I’m almost sure they’ll be a Mario Kart 10 for the switch successor. Idk if there’ll be crossovers characters but it’s possible. Though the fact that Tour didn’t have any makes it seem unlikely. Hope I’m wrong tho.

The Grand Star icon would be too similar to the Star Cup. So even if there was a Secret Cup, it wouldn’t be the Grand Star because of that
I'd personally want a last GBA remake from tour in this hypothetical secret, final cup. Like Lakeside Park, or Cheep Cheep Island, Yoshi Desert, or Bowser Castle 4...

The main problem with a “secret cup” is that it’s impossible to fit anywhere on the Cup selection screen. There’s literally nowhere it can go because there’s no space. It’d just look messy
What I would do is have this secret cup be called the Grand Finale cup, and have a Grand Star as the icon. I would probably do something like..

They could make the second tab have have 7 on the top and 7 on the bottom. The extra one could be all 100 tracks. Not likely but could happen.

Ending on 96 courses seems like the most Nintendo thing though.

I think this order works best because it begins with the Wii U nitro cups, then the Wii U retro cups, and then the Wii U Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack, then the Wii U Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack, and then everything in the Booster Course Pass (Waves 1-6). It basically serves as a history lesson of Mario Kart 8's development cycle (except for the nitros/retros section since we don't actually know which was made for MK8 first).
The only reason I wouldn't want this to he in the game just yet is if Nintendo still plans on making more DLC tracks for the game (so they can add them to this list before it gets published (just so we don't have to deal with them just adding them in later updates)).
The name: The Chaos Cup, which comes from the extremely hard
Chaos Mode Challenge if it would to come, The icon: Red Star for some reasons, 1. The tracks could be the hardest ones. 2. It represents how hard the challenge is. 3. We already have the regular star icon used. 4. It shows how hard 200cc actually gets.

The two Wuhu Island Themed Tracks in Mario Kart 7 (Wuhu Island Loop and Maka Wuhu) Did that, Not tracks Like Animal Crossing or Hyrule Circuit.
In fact, it's Nintendo's style to make DLCs and leave something that seems incomplete, like the Smash Bros DLC, there's plenty of room for more Stages and a character to make everything symmetrical and complete, but nah, they left it that way
I feel like if we got a bonus wave, it would be:

Explain my reasoning down below, in reverse order:
DS Airship fortress because it not only got a decent visual overhaul, but it is by far the most wanted course aside from Wii RR to not return yet. Fitting finale course
GBA Bowsers Castle 4, as it got an insane visual overhaul and several reworks that fit Anti Gravity design. Would be a shame if it wasnt brought over.
Wii DryDry Ruins: It's a Wii course. That is all.
GCN Mushroom Bridge: Visual overhaul, was probably originally intended for the pass but was axed in favor of Moonview (fair, that is a fun course). You might be wondering "Oh why not GCN Dino Dino Jungle?" Since everyone's wondering that anyways: I do not care for Dino Dino Jungle. Do not care for Dino Dino Jungle. Didn't like it. Everyone always says "Its so good". Always like "Split Paths, Shortcuts, A DINOSAUR" and they're all fine course elements, just did not like the course. I couldn't get into it. It insists upon itself. It takes forever to get to the good part and then like six and a half hours in... y'know I can like never finish racing on it. Never even finished Lap 1. And by now I hope you all realize you have fallen for a Family Guy gag. I am ashamed of myself for doing this, but I still sincerely do not care for Dino Dino Jungle.
The secret cup would be iconic! We just want iconic tracks
I want a secret rainbow road cup featuring both DS and Gamecube rainbow road, a new rainbow road, and one that combines elements from all the rainbow roads, or is based on the mario movie, or starts out on the first lap with mario 8 circuit and the second lap takes you upward into the sky from a forming rainbow/canon/or lakitu, and the third lap into space

I Wil still predict the tracks I think will be on it anyways :
-Gcn Dino Dino Jungle (Everyone asked for him to be in the game)
-Tour Piranha plant Pipeline (So everyone can stop thinking about Mario Kart Tour's end of content like a bad ending, just like Me not seeing Toad's Factory back for once in Nintendo's existence is A bad ending)
-Mobile RRF Rainbow Racers (I was stuck about a Smash bros crossover or a Roblox Rainbow Friends crossover for this one. I think the Rainbow Friends one isn't going to be in, but it is rainbow and Nintendo likes Rainbows more than Mario Kart Toad, so I go with that track from chapter 2)
And finally,
-Wii Toad's factory (I was stuck on Gba Rainbow Road and Toad's factory for the last one. I like to see Gba RR back to the spotlight, but you know me well, that would make it much worse than right now, with the arrival of 5 unusefuls (but not the 3ds one) Rainbow Roads tracks, which dethroned MkSc which has 4 unusefuls Bowser's Castles, so I go with my favorite Wii track that needs more respect than DS Airship Fortress and 3ds Shy Guy Bazar reunited).
If I could make a secret cup like a grand finale cup, I'd put those tracks in it:

If they do something like this I think the best way to end off Mario Kart 8 woupd be a Rainbow Cup for all the missing Rainbow Roads. GBA Rainbow Road, GCN Rainbow Road, DS Rainbow Road, and the one everyone has been asking for, Wii Rainbow Road.
It's an iconic track that marks the end of the game for most of the games. Wouldn't it make sense for the end of thie game to include the rest of them?

I'm curious if they'll add more vehicle parts, and bring some more items like mega giant mushroom, thunder cloud, POW and fake item box. Also if they brought in a mario RPG stage, mario wonder stage, and a diddy kong racing stage. I'd love for ROB, Dixie Kong and Paratroopa to return. I think Kirby would be amazing. Hoping for Wii Rainbow Road, and 3DS Mario Circuit. But we'll see. Bowser Airship from DS and DK Mountain from Double Dash. The could also have two last Secret Cups since one would be odd. Also thinking they'll reveal 2 more Mario characters and 2 other game characters. Since the last row there have only been other outside characters. Hopes

What about a last release "mega-cup"? I'm thinking 5 courses for 101 total courses. Mushroom Bridge (GCN), Piranha Plant Pipes (nitro), Dino Dino Jungle (GCN), New City Track(Washington DC), Rainbow Road (GCN), Airship Fortress (DS), and Toad's Factory (WII) are all solid options. 101 courses is incredible advertising, all of these maps (minus the proposed new City track) are classics and fantastic, and the 'free release' could be done in the spring before any future console/game announcements. Additionally, this would be a perfect time for a 'reduced price' sale for the DLC - "Buy the DLC and 5 "mega cup tracks" for the low price of $xx.. Another chance to boost revenues before the new console and next version of the game.
I really doubt it would be unlockable just because with how much they push for online I assume they'll make all the tracks available from the get go.
How about instead they give us an all star cup. We go through every single cup kind of like double dash. But I like your theory.
There are only 4 rainbow roads missing from MK8DX. That would be the perfect ending
New for bcp w6, a extra cup thats avalibale after completing all cups, the Complete Cup, all tracks, base game normal but Bcp courses are Completely Random.

If I have to choose 4 tracks for a mystery track a would choose 3DS Rosalina's Ice World, because Rosalina doesn't have a track in 8 Deluxe yet, N64 Bowser's Castle, because it is one of the most unique Bowser Castle tracks and we only have 1 Bowser's Castle track and we will probably get SNES Bowser Castle 3 and in Mario Kart Wii we have had 3 Bowser Castle tracks aswell, 3DS Maka Wuhu, also an amazing track and we have the 3DS Wuhu Town battle arena in 8 Deluxe already, and for the final track I would go with N64 DK's Jungle Parkway or DS Airship Fortress.
My personal headcannon thats unlikely is the last track of blueshell cup is gonna be some sort of rainbow road, maybe a custom one that has sections rather than laps, youre gonna enter it and its gonna start flickering, like its glitching, and then it moves you to the home screen, you get back on, and the FINAL COURSE OF BLUESHELL CUP

Figure-8 Circuit was a track I wanted in wave 6 since the beginning. Imagine starting the last of the final eight tracks of the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass with a track that is entirely based around the shape of the number eight. It would have been the most meta sendoff to Mario Kart 8.

Since there's only 1 datamined Wii track in wave 6, I believe that Daisy Circuit didn't replace any track, and that it IS that said datamined Wii Track, this mystery cup would consist of 4 rainbow roads from across the series, with the final one being the highly expected Wii Rainbow Road...

Where do they put the Bonus Cup? Where did the cup go? Are they going to put it in the middle or something. Like, they're not making another cup because 4 is too much.

I think another reveal possibility would be as a "next gen upgrade".
It's pretty much a guarantee the Switch 2 will launch in 2024 and there have been hints of "next gen" patches with pokemon. I wouldn't be surprised I'd nintendo follows a similar approach xbox and ps followed. Selecting a few popular games, zelda mario pokemon, to upgrade from a quality and graphical perspective to push sales

The theory
Secret Cup theory is not so far fetched off in fact all 96 tracks for mario kart 8 deluxe will essentially be used as an all cup tour mode reminiscence of mario kart double dash essentially having 12 tracks each representing the super mario kart through the original mario kart 8 and need all tracks to be used to do so no duplicates. I'm currently trying to figure all that out in a google doc trying to prefect that though the tour tracks is giving me a bit of trouble at the moment.

So call me mental, but I think they already view the game as having more than 100 tracks. Including battle mode courses, we end off with 104 tracks. Dunno, just what I think is a possibility

at this point how would they even make a Mario kart 9? Mario kart 8 deluxe already has absolutely everything. I'm the biggest Mario kart fan and I myself feel fed up. I wouldn't buy a Mario kart 9 if it's just the same thing with new karts new cups and courses as always. we're gonna need something new.

@@JKV2500 What about a Chain Chomp? You select the Kart, Wheels and Glider but at the beginning of the race before the countdown it just jumps on screen an devours the Kart getting the stats of it
