So many people shit on Etsy sellers saying stuff is “too expensive” not taking into account there’s someone on the other hand working countless hours and putting so much effort and money into it. People expect things to cost the same from a one person production as made in a factory in China and that’s just not realistic. Thank you for saying that I appreciate it as an Etsy shop owner as well!!

This makes me feel a lot better about charging for my art and decor work. I’m always like “oh well other people can make it why would I charge” but like, maybe if they could they would have already
Anybody who says paying people to make things is too expensive or not worth it doesn’t understand the work and love going in to art and handmade projects. You shouldn’t feel bad about charging for your art because if people will pay for it, they are willing to spend money for your work and talent.
Soon as everyone else’s attempts look literally like a goldfish made them, you should never doubt your art’s worth!! ❤️

I love watching how you and your mom’s relationship. My mom recently had brain surgery to remove a tumor and she hasn’t been herself since and i really miss the relationship we had before. Seeing you two reminds me of the good times 💕

I'm sorry about your Mom. I can kind of relate as my son had a traumatic brain injury. He doesn't look different but his personality has really changed. I miss how we used to be goofy together. They said his brain would heal over 2 years however much it was going to heal. After that, he would stay at whatever stage of healing he progressed to. I don't know how long your Mom has been healing, and it is a different situation but maybe parts of her personality will return. The most important thing is we still have them with us. I wish you and your Mom all the best 😊

Etsy isn’t “sketchy” but literally anyone at any skill level can post so just make sure you read the reviews. I’ve had a couple bad experiences. Mostly good though!
Love & Yarn Designs i got my friend a christmas present from there and it literally never came in the mail so I had to dispute them and get my money back 😒😒

My guess is that on the mason jar from Etsy they didn’t use acrylic paint they probably used chalk paint and sealed it also used twine
No it looks 100% like chalk paint and they just used painters tape. Done a few of these before myself and they also used sand paper not a fork haha

I've used the same clay before and it feels sticky if you dont add a top coat of something. I used a gloss coating on mine and it left it feeling harder and the stickiness went away.
