Did some research on these products while watching this because there is a big difference between brands supporting pride and using it to sell their stuff so enjoy:
Sephora: $1 for every item
Marc Jacobs: 10% of sales up to $75k
Milk: 100% of proceeds
Tarte: $25k
Hollister: "up to $25k in proceeds"
Pink: no donations mentioned
Call It Spring: 100% (but only from their flip flops which aren't in this video)
Calvin Klein: "a donation has been made to the human rights campaign foundation" but not stated how much this is
Michael Kors: 100% but just for the pride shirts which aren't included in this video
Bath & Body Works: no donations mentioned
Morphe: 100% of profits on their pride products (plus ability to donate through other purchases)
This isn't to shade any of the products and I may have missed something but just wanted to put it out there

Lacaille it's not you shading, it's straight facts and people (straights and LGBTQ) need to know who they're giving this money to. if you're an ally you're obviously not gonna give money to anti-lgbtq and LGBTQ aren't going to either bc that's hypocritical

I wish these brands would donate to other stuff. I can think of a lot of good causes they could donate to. Not saying its bad they donate for pride things, but there are A LOT of good causes they could donate to.

I think the fact she made his video is amazing. Most youtubers dont talk about sexuality or even celebrating a cause she isnt apart of besides supporting people who deserve equality for just being human. Kudos to mia@

On your Sephora pride haul I noticed all of the companies just used a product they had and put a colorful box over it BUT TARTE actually created new products for pride. Props to TARTE.♥️

Yeah I purchased the morphe palette that donated 100% of proceeds. I just hate to see big company’s take advantage of something that literally started because of the discrimination towards people from this group, just so they can make money. I’m guilty of buying rainbow products because I love and celebrate pride but ideally company’s should be making a lot more donations and supporting LGBTQ all year round. (No shade at Mia, she is so pure and obviously means no harm)

Hey, Mia. Just remember that “supporting Pride” doesn’t mean “selling Pride merch”. So if a store is supporting the cause, it doesn’t mean they have to have products with rainbows on it.
Also, a lot of brand use the Pride Month to make rainbow products and make a lot of money, but they don’t support it at all.

glad someone said it! this video had such well intentions but big companies like this arent doing anything to support the lgbtq community. i think if they cared they should be donating to support lgbtq during pride month instead of exploiting their struggles to make more money! im glad she made this video its super cute, but its also rlly nice to see people bringing up the issue!

Tarte (from the palette with Jessie Paege) will be donating 25000 dollars to the Trevor Project, so that is at least one good company. (Also, Jessie donates all the money she makes from video's about pride to the Trevor Project.) :D
