- I remake the flag of the United Kingdom so it represents all of the countries within the union. The new flag has includes not just flags for England, Scotland and Ireland but also flags for North Ireland and Wales. The design features a Union Jack style combination of the St. Patric's Cross, the St. George's Cross, the St. David's Cross and finally the flag of ulster.

I hope you enjoy the upcoming video!
yo this is going to be fire! Very original idea!
Thank you! I actually think nobody on the first page of the search term has done something like that.
Yo Bulgarian man whats up
I think there is too much light colors on the flag, but otherwise it’s a great video!
Thank you!
The redesign looks objectively worse than what we currently have
I am sorry you don't like it!
"If you'd like me to redesign the flag of another country, please reply to this comment with the name of the country you'd like me to work on next!"
Can you change maybe like Indonesia or France
You ask I deliver! But it might be a short if there isn't much to say.
@@Porphyrios.Historyfrance is interesting, basque country, occitania and brittany all togheter!
Yhe there could be some fun things. I will start tinkering with the idea after release an alt history vid I am working on.
I suggest you redesign the Australian Flag.
Hey, mate. Just popping into explain a few things about the Union Flag. For starters, the reason that the Saltire of St Patrick (Ireland) almost looks like it’s rotating around the flag is because it’s not aligned on top of the Saltire of St Andrew (Scotland). I’ll try to explain this as best I can without an image accompanying it, but the reason it’s off centre is because the red saltire and white saltire are actually half and half split down the middle accompanied by a white border on the outside of the two, instead of the red saltire being on top of the white saltire. Since the white saltire is the same colour as the border, it makes it look like a windmill pattern, which is not the case. Additionally, Welsh people don’t want representation on the Union Flag. It may seem a little insensitive to people on the outside looking in but the Welsh flag that exists today was already part of an entire battle for Welsh identity. All they wanted was a flag that represented them in the Union, and they got it with their own officially recognised National Flag. Most Welsh people don’t want more than that and acknowledge that adding it to the Union Flag would ruin it.
My face when editing the minor spelling mistake, "it's" to "it," revoked the heart. Tragic!
Don't worry I am giving it again!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I had no idea that the flag is split diagonally as well. It's an interesting design choice but It still seem weird to me. As far as representation and the stuff I say at the beginning that's more of a goof than anything.
@@Porphyrios.History You're welcome! Yeah it's certainly an odd choice. My first assumption is that it was to make Ireland and Scotland of equal importance on the flag but it looked weird with the red on blue so they added the border, I'm not sure though. Obviously England is the largest on the flag in that theory since it runs the United Kingdom, being the only one without its own miniature Parliament.
i'm not patriotic at all but this made me so pained that i had to make my own redesign just out of spite
Can you send a link to what you came up with
4:04 Scotland is actually still represented in this flag as the saltire portion is still split between white(yellow) and red, representing both st Patrick’s saltire and the Scottish flag
I really like the black background and question marks on the redesigned flag. Shame you spoiled it in the thumbnail.
Yhe it symbolizes how the uk's future is uncertain and everything.
Really cool you should have more subscribers
Agreed!
I personally prefer the first one you'd shown with the welsh dragon, But i like the originality of your redesign
Thank you!
