What if the Benelux was One Country in WW1 - Alternate History

- The Benelux suffered a lot during World War I and World War II. Even though the Netherlands escaped the devastation in WW1 they got their fair share in WW2 with the German occupation.
But could this be avoided in an alternative history where the Benelux was unified during WW I and before that. Can Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg withstand the German war machine with the help of the French and Russians or will the Entente lose this alternate WWI !

The dutch had also one big advantage - their flooding system of their country. If they stalled them for long enough, they could lose territory, but after that, they'd flood the important parts just like in 80 years war against the spanish
That's an really interesting aspect of the Dutch defense I hadn't thought about. I only have a vague memory that a flud of the country was discussed in WW2 but I didn't know it was used way back in the fight against Spain. Thank you for the insight and watching my videos! I might use this info for part 2.
My main problem with this is the fact that greece joined due to british ties which is simply false, the king was strongly pro german, it was due to the pro french Venizelos and many other francophile symphaties that the greeks joined the allies, still, the course of action seems logical given that even though they were pro french they wouldnt have risked joining without the british navy to secure support
