Even though Osaka isn't assertive on the clay court, it was commonly a heartwarming outcome on the behalf of professional Japanese tennis competitor. Not much of a test with this Burel but a win is a win. Now she needs to find a way to slowly add more variety into her clay game cause these tactics ain't gonna work with a true grinder. Heavier balls, a few more net points, add surprise dropshots here and there, vary the height at times, you know make it interesting. Now I'm not saying she'll become the new Barty because your style is your style, but she has the talent for more. Avg stats across the board plus a killer serve, those powerful groundstrokes and her tennis IQ, I mean...
Why couldn’t she just blast away like the other big hitters? She has the power on both sides to do it. She probably needs to make sure her footwork is top notch but I don’t see why her hardcourt game wouldn’t translate on this surface.
Honestly speaking clay isn’t her tuff at all….she’s just pushing cause she wants to play at the Olympics and this year’s games will be on clay in Paris
That's what you do; keep pushing; keep going. For someone with her talent; I don't see why she cannot have success on clay (my least favorite) as well as grass! I like that she's a quick study. She'll get there and on BOTH surfaces!
