  • hello youtube,
like many others out there, i enjoy the appearence of the stock head unit in my cars, they just seem to look right. however, since my land cruiser was from 1999, it only came with a tape deck and cd player. finally, ive found a way to update the 1999 radio, with 2021 tech by adding a bluetooth module. theyre easy to install, not expensice, and most importantly, work great!

Saved me a ton of time (again). Will buy you beers in Amsterdam if you are ever in town - cheers

So glad I came across this video. Just installed it on my ‘99 LC 100. Took 15 minutes. Wanted Bluetooth for music but didn’t want to change the head unit and lose that 90’s look to the center console! Thanks man! I appreciate your sharing this.

I own 2 100 series and a 06 Tundra. I have a Grom BT in one and a USA Spec in the tundra. They both work, no big complaints except for some annoying auto connect or call switching things. But, on my latest 100 series, instead of all the head unit removal pains, I bought an Anker BT fm adapter for $20 on Amazon and it’s better than both the other expensive units.
