Today we look at the philosophy behind Eri's quirk Rewind, and why Eri's arc is so much more than just a child in need of a hero. Here's some philosophy.
Why a Symbol of Peace is a bad thing. Just about what if it just end with All Might and Endeavor or any other hero to take the place and how society can fall. And why it's a good thing to have multiple symbols such as deku wanting to save people or iida manting order, shoto making his own legacy and the other characters.

Eri is rescued / un-like Tomura Shigaraki who never had a hero to save him except A4O.
In the same way Eri was manipulated by Chisaki. Tomura continues to be manipulated and guided by All for One.
It gives us a sympathetic perception of how a victim (very young) can both through stockholme syndrome and miss-guided gratitude be attached so strongly to their abuser.

@@TruthHero When you first meet Kota in Episode 40 (season3). They literally super-impose Shigaraki Tomura on Kota's background. Kota's aunt also says: To Kota; Heroes are a kind of human he doesn't understand and finds unpleasant. I think Eri's story (a powerful quirk that could easily kill) is exactly the same experience of Shigaraki. At 4 years of age; he probably killed his guardians (father?). Becoming a homeless orphan and probably eating garbage like a dog. Heroes and people probably tried to help him at first. But then treated him like a monster because of his lack of understanding of what/how to control his quirk at such a young age.
Though the creator has not yet confirmed Shigaraki's background. I think it is fairly obvious with the clues and the scenes that are presented in the Anime/Manga. That he hates the hypocrisy of heroes and the society that abandoned him. They can't/won't even save a 4 year old from himself! So what use are they?
After the shopping-mall incident. Midoriya asks All-Might: "Are there people that you can't save?" The scene clearly refers to (incidents) that happen without All-Might's knowledge of them. And they link to Shigaraki Tomura with certain scenes.
Izuku has saved Todoroki, Kota and now Eri with either abusive backgrounds or traumatic childhood losses and it seems clear that the story is slowly inching that way. Shigaraki might actually be so far gone that he is irredeemable at a certain point. But we'll probably be struggling to not sympathise with his point of view.

It would be so cute if Shinsou helped Eri come to terms with her 'curse' (quirk), and Aizawa helped her control it, and Mrs. Joke helped them all brighten up a bit. Then they would have three cats, and live in a house near UA with a zen garden and tons of blankets.

I feel like Eri will play a big part in my hero academia only because of what she was able to do to deku so he was able to use his quirk to full potential but who knows what else she is capable of. Also would chisaki low key be a good person since he wants the world to revert back to normal without all the quirks but bad since he is a villain who puts on a disguise to hide his true intentions?
Chisaki might have good intentions ( although it's to serve his criminal organization not society ) but HOW he implements his ideas is what makes him a villain

Eri's quirk is possibly more terrifying than you know, if it gets amplified to a sufficient level she could possibly unmake the universe.

how many arcs you think S4 will cover. The internship arc ends at chptr 163, with S3 ending at chptr 125 thats about 20 episodes with the 2 to 1 chapter to episode ratio.

I would like My Hero Academia 2 to show Deku and the other students in the 2nd and 3rd year of the AU, as if it were a Shippuden of the Naruto anime. Facing more new villains being the Union of Villains, and also having new characters, like the new 1st year, as if they were like Naruto's Konohamaru, who is a younger boy who mirrors Naruto. And he also makes almost a war between the heroes and the Union of Villains, led by the Shigaraki, and thus causing the students, especially the Deku, to become involved in the conflict. And another thing, to do at the end of the first MHA manga, after finishing the first year of Deku and having his arms rewinded by Eri in a situation that she is forced to use her quirk . And then he and All Might can go out in a trip around the United States to train, and so in the first episode of MHA 2 show Deku and All Might returning after 3 or 4 months of training. And with Deku being now more confident and more extroverted and impulsive, as well as not writing anymore in his notebook.

Eri is precious and must be protected. Overhaul is a really interesting villain. Unique villains is something MHA excels at. It is amazing seeing how society would be like with super powers

there is lot of symbolism of real life in my hero, partically he politcal similaiities of heroes and villians. really liked that you noted the symbolism, especially agreed with when Chisaki fused with his first henchman. effectivly, as you said ( I also said something similair in that chapter review), he showed the monster within. And he truly could not adapt to current society, nor did he honour the traditional Yakusa code, he was effecitvly a man that refused change.
but I just hope Eri wont be used by the bad guys, she holds great power, and with it the unfortunate burden fo great responsibility. but if she has Deku and Lemillion, maybe hope is still there.

@@TruthHero Chisaki was a monster, the best symbolism for that was his hypocrite behavior where he fused himself with his minions, despite not liking to dirty himself. and his quirk could have cured himself of anything if he just wanted.
