Had a street racer guy show up at this weeks test n tune. He was on the starting line with the bike bouncing off the rev limiter. Of course it went up in smoke and sideways then high sided and catapulted him into the side wall. The strip is a whole different beast.
Experience trumps most things. Anything near equal the win is always going to go to the skilled rider.

Lots of power. No real good way getting that power to the wheel and hooking. At least not in this example.
@@exothermal.sprocket this was the only way he could of got all the power to the ground. Prepped race track!!!! The Street is the exact opposite from a roll or dig.
@@boostedbroly1917 I am referring to connecting the engine to the rear wheel. Clutch control, throttle control, per-gear tuning, gear ratios, etc.
@@exothermal.sprocket “No real good way getting that power to the wheel and hooking.” I simply thought you meant Traction. The busa makes 3 times the hp and did fine. It all comes down to the rider really and setup has a roll to play but 250hp ain’t shit compared to that busa. The R1 has a better rider and setup.

Happy the Kawasaki guy did not loop it. With that long of an extended swingarm, does it just spin practice launching on the street? I almost with we had a 1/8 instead of a 1/4. My old Aprilia 1000cc twin 115hp would smoke my friends Ducati on launch but I was always beat by the end of the 1/4. I believe I will do a Kawasaki H2 SX SE with luggage for drag bike since it will not look the part and be a sport tourer.

I have only been riding a 1000cc bike for 5 months and only riding streetbikes for a year. I don't drag race anyone except my wife on her stock ninja 400 and she even beats me off the line and for the first 50 feet. It takes skill and experience to launch a liter bike.
Practice makes perfect!
