I think not many bassist make themselves stand a lot in songs as if the bass is just to be there, present but just enough to give thickness to a song. Just a few bassist take the risk of stand out in songs and actually dare to make solos or even be present the entire song. I like that Deacy wasnt afraid of that he knew how to envolve the songs around his bass and its amazing.

I love how animated he got during performances, especially the part where he’s spinning. As someone who grew up shy, I can definitely understand. Sometimes you just need the right environment to cut loose and John Deacon found his on stage. I’m sure he’s really proud for the movie’s success and accolades. He’s a big reason Queen was so successful. I personally think he was the secret glue that held everyone together. I know he and Freddie were close, I can only imagine what fun conversations they used to have.

You don’t get to see much of him on stage because the cameras are always focused on Freddie but John was quite the showman himself especially seeing how shy he really was off stage. He really got into the music.
It is wild that he is 1/4 of the biggest rock band of all time...an absolute legend...and now he just lives a quiet life, going about often unrecognised. I love watching old footage of him...Freddie gets all the credit for being the showman. But handsome, smiling, dancing Deaky is just a joy to watch. I hope he is happy and enjoying retirement. 💙👑🎸

Maaaaaaannnn! I’m so glad I ran across this video! I have spent years feeling bad for John and the effect Freddie’s death had on him. After seeing him, for the first time, being exuberant and cutting loose will stay with me forever. I now understand how he really did get into the groove and the beat AND JUST HAVE FUN! That was Freddie’s mantra…”Have Fun!” I believe Freddie was the one who released John’s quiet fledging into movement and joy. I’ll never forget watching this tonight.

I've always thought John was to Queen what George Harrison was to The Beatles, gentle, humble, shy, introverted, the youngest of the band, and perhaps not really about the fame and Rock 'n' Roll life ... but the most likeable and fundamental to the band's success. The jewel in the crown. Some of my favourite Queen songs are the ones John wrote. 'I Want to Break Free' is a masterpiece 🎸
