- It's been TOO LONG! A far overdue catch up session to share what I've been up to since my last longform video. How have you been?!
I recap my California trip, share about my family and holiday traditions, talk about what's next for my knee and more.

Thanks for the update. I hope you are successful with your knee. I had a hip injury as a teen where I fell on it, slipping on Ice. When it healed, I had scar tissue that would bind on my tendon and make a finger snap sound with every step. About once a month, my tendon would get stuck and my leg would not extend forward of vertical. I would have to stop and reposition my leg like a roundhouse kick to get my leg to function again. This went on for a year. Finally a sports medicine guy said that he could treat the symptom with a cortisone shot, but it would be just temporary and I would need many more cortisone shots in my lifetime. I don’t know if it was optimism, but that was the one and only cortisone that I received. I like to think the cortisone reduced the swelling and allowed my hip joint to not rub my tendons and eliminated the inflammation and now I haven’t had any issues with my hip in the past 40 years.
I know your situation is not the same, but with some good science and optimism, I believe you can reduce and hopefully eliminate the pain.
My son has CP and can only walk about 6 to 8 feet at a time. It is like Buzz Lightyear falling with style. He relies on a power wheelchair for his independence. He has been having issues with his knee and more often mild back pain. I’m interested in your success with your knee and would like to see if it is applicable to my son’s knee.
Your travel information is helpful, for the past 4 or five years we have been traveling with a foldable power chair. The key word is ‘we’. With this chair he is still dependent on us. But your travel with a moderate sized scooter has given me inspiration to see if he could do the same.
When we travel, we were 180 degrees from your trip to California. We live in California and fly into Tampa to visit family. Our Disney experiences are pretty much over. 17 years ago the annual passes were about the cost of 3 or 4 days, about the cost of today’s one day park hopper.
There is something special about the original Disneyland. I think the size makes it a little more personal and cozy.
One thing that we were able to do affordability was attend the special nights on Halloween. We hit the sweet spot about 15 years ago. Back then it was affordable with the annual pass discount, and it was like renting out Disneyland as a private party. For three years the park was pretty empty and all the rides were walk on with no waiting. That has changed, the price and the attendance skyrocketed.
One budget friendly secret that Disney has is unused Disney World tickets can be converted to Disneyland within the expiration date, usually a week. I assume it reciprocates. But for us it was a great deal to pay 6 more dollars for each of the two extra days.
We did that when we came back from Florida when Cars Land first opened. We pretty much got to see the premier of Cars Land for 6 dollars. The price of extra days has gone up, but adding a day past 4 days is way cheaper than buying two 3 day passes.
I'd love to see some more videos of the people with similar challenges you're impacting. I am a functional disabled veteran, and at 68 years old it's getting more challenging to do the things I love but your videos have really been a godsend. Bless you 🥰👍🏾🤩

Thanks for all you do in speaking out in support of the disability community. I am a 63 year old woman with CP who used to live in Tampa. Five years ago, we moved to Central PA for my husband's job. Over the last several years, I have lost the ability to walk independently at all, and now rely mostly on a walker or my scooter. I love your positivity and your ability to show that even with CP, we can keep going and have full lives!

Thanks for the update! I totally relate to being in a content slump. I would love to see more fashion content or even makeup ideas. For my holiday, we typically eat gumbo (I’m from Louisiana), so holidays are always centered around food lol.

The one time I was in San Diego, I stayed in the Gaslamp District, in the Horton Grand Hotel. It's a gorgeous old historic place, I'd recommend checking it out next time you go back there. Absolutely loved it there.
Hey Chelsea, would love to see a video directed at parents of children with CP. What should parents know to give their child the best life possible?
My favorite thing about Disneyland was that you can enjoy it in one day fairly easily. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but a lot of the lessons that Walt Disney learned from building Disneyland he used in building Walt Disney World in Florida. One of the lessons that he learned was he purchased all of the land before he told what he was going to do. This kind of put Orlando in an auto position of having to almost say yes.

My mom and brother surprised me with a Tampa/ Clearwater Florida vacation about 2 years ago. I found out that my favorite Dolphin winter that was st the Clearwater marine aquarium died about 2 years ago. We drove down to Florida in a Tesla
that sounds like a great trip! I love clearwater. and I was so sad about Winter
I was in LA and Orlando with my client at different times and at both disney's and loved them both! Only issue I had with Disney World is they didn't have as many shuttles as Disneyland had (we didn't have a car). Hope you have a Happy Hanukkah and a Merry Christmas!

I recently got a shot in my arm because I had inflammation and in my arm and I couldn’t even put my hair in a pony tail.. it started healing and I could do my hair again.. thank you for telling me about the shot

Hey dude thank you for being such an amazing and strong person, it's incredibly inspiring and heartwarming to see. And it's not because you have Cerebral Palsy it's you live life to the fullest and don't let it bring you down. You're energy, smile and charisma is incredibly infectious and I'm sure you light up any room you walk into. I hope that more people get to experience your kindness and fun loving self lol. Low-key traditions these days Catholic Christian I would sing in the children’s choir Christmas Eve and then we would go home for either torsk or beef fondue. open presents and Christmas morning stockings. Then we would be alter servers at mass.
