- Not the sexiest topic, but I'm so excited to share with you a series called #CBearShares How I Do Things! In this case, this is how I do laundry! And I also give you some updates about what I've been up to and what's to come! 💪🏼
Linking the products I use: www.amazon.com/shop/realchels...
This series was created to show how I do regular things with Cerebral Palsy (CP). As a reminder, CP can look very different depending on the type and level of severity. These are just fun and quick videos that allow me to share what my version of CP is like.
In some instances you’ll see how I adapt, in some you’ll see how I do things just as an able-bodied person would. All in an effort to destigmatize society’s views on disabilities. We’re all human, and we all do things our own way!
Video Description: Chelsea is wearing a white vneck and green shorts. Her hair is wavy and she is in her home.

Thanks for sharing this. Most people don't realize the things we take for granted.
totally! it's simple every day stuff but I hope it gives some perspective. thanks for watching! :)
@@realchelseabear you're welcome, friend.

Great that you are feeling better from flu and washing laundry. I am handicapped also, but with my housekeeper I too shall be doing 2 months worth of laundry tomorrow. 🥰
Kendrick sockey missippiss 41 ♥️♥️♥️🌹💕💕💕💋
As someone with a mental disability (autism) I enjoy your content so much. I thank you for raising awareness and showing others that disabled people can still do so much more than what some people realize and, how disabled people are still capable of having a positive attitude. I look forward to seeing more of your content.
Glad your feeling better Chelsea❤
thank you so much! it was rough lol
Hey Lady, fellow independent queen with cerebral palsy here. I definitely do all this in my scooter lol. It might be a little different for me though since I can’t walk independently at all, but one thing we’re going to do is find a hack lol. Keep up the great work
You are so pretty both inside and out CB!!! Love your blogs!!!!
Thank you so much!!
very glad you're feeling better
Model strut: 10 out of 10. As usual, it’s a pleasure to watch you demonstrate your life. I have arthritis and so I suffer some of the same things that you do. I’m also tall and do my laundry laundromat with the challenges that go with that. Thank you for your positive attitude and your wonderful videos
Great video! I've had CP all my life (I am 62), and still live independently on my own. I do laundry in a similar fashion. And yes, some piece of laundry always falls on the floor, LOL! In fact, I invested in a gripper for every room in my condo. That way, I always have one handy whenever and wherever I need it.
WHAT, you mean a flu bug was foolish enough to attack a life force such as yours !!!?
Seriously, I am glad you are feeling better and well enough to take your trip. Im sure your parents and family were glad to see you.
I trust your upcoming trip will be everything you and your sister hope it will be. Have fun and enjoy.
God bless you, young lady, for sharing your life with us. You have got to be one of the most positive and dynamic people that I've seen. I hope in some way you know what a positive influence you are with your viewers that have challenges in life.
God bless you in all you do. Stay safe on your travels, and hope to see that beautiful smile again soon.
Awesome, I do laundry in a similar way, I will definitely be investing in a hamper with wheels. I have CP myself, so thanks for the tip.
Would like to see how you handle house work. I would recommend the Roomba vacuum robot.
Love the model sturt model walk 🔥
yes highly recommend the rolling hamper! I hope it helps :) I have the roomba and love it! but sometimes use a regular vacuum too to get certain areas. and thank you!! :) :)
Sorry to hear you've been unwell Chelsea, but glad to see you well again.
It's a shame there's not enough room in the closest to put the washer and drier raised up and side by side.
Good to have you back 😊👍
Glad you're ok!
You're a lovely girl Chelsea. Stay strong. 💜
thank you so much!
You're inspirational no matter what! And I have it easier because I have had stroke, of course I adapted and treat myself as if I'm not getting any better (however I'm positive i am) just to adapt and improvise and overcome.
How lucky is your brother to have such a brilliant role model in life.
I hate doing laundry too! Ours is in our garage, and we have a bench in front to help with the bending and getting things from the back. (I have a grabber for getting things from higher cupboards in the kitchen. I should get a second one for laundry.) I really recommend laundry sheets. Not only are you not buying plastic, and mostly water, but they're also a lot lighter and come in premeasured sheets. Much easier than jugs! There are lots of brands out there now that will definitely have the free and clear type.
So good you are feeling better
me too! thank you!
You're Awesome ❤ thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks 🙏 for sharing this love ❤️ your videos so informative
thank you for watching! I'm glad you find them informative
well with the way the weather has been bouncing up and down people has been getting sick anyways welcome back fantastic video
yes my allergies have been horrible too! definitely that season lol thank you!
@@realchelseabear u very welcome I have allergies too trust me it sucks 😔 I think if weather would quit bouncing around like a yo yo it we would be ok
❤ you have your system down pat❤ I will give your model walk a 10 out of 10 🔥 🔥 I like your laundry hamper that's cool❤ see you in the next video❤ I hope you enjoy your trip❤😊❤
wow a 10/10 rating! i wasn't expecting that hahaha thank you so much!! :)
I think you are fanfastic and the energy you emit is so lovely
thank you!!!
Very helpful video! I feel like your grabber can't help with the most difficult part- transferring heavier wet garments like sweatshirts from the washer below to the dryer on top. It is good for handling the socks that could fall when you're transferring dry clothes from the dryer to your hamper though.
I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’m really glad you got to spend great time with your family and take your brother for his first trip to Disney World. Mazel Tov all the way around.
thank you so much!
@@realchelseabear you are very welcome. And thank you.
I enjoy your videos so much. Im newly disabled and your videos have helpped motivate me and on a side note your cute as well
Miss you Chelsea ❤
i missed making these videos! so happy to be back. thank you for this 💗
♥️🇬🇧🇺🇸♥️👍good on you young lady .never give in ..
I love your videos.❤ I have MS. So I know how important it is to invest in tools and create hacķs that help to conserve energy.
Awesome that your doing better , God Bless .
Thanks.
MUCH LOVE BEAUTIFUL GIRL.
Very motivated individual
Those organisers for laundry was genius! Did they come with the hamper?
I'd like to see how you clean your house like the walls mopping vacuuming that kind of thing to see how you have to adapt to cleaning cooking laundry just whatever you think is is what you would like to do I enjoy watching you awesome person
all great ideas! thank you for letting me know, I'll aim to start recording more of these everyday things I do!
😁😁😁
At 73 I think I’ll use wheels and the grabber 😅
You mide consider getting a flodable rolling chair with brakes for loading and unloading your laundry.
god is with you
Good work Chelsea 👍. Don’t chip your nail polish ok 💅 lol , just kidding.! ( your nail Tech ). ❤️
hahah! I did this the day before I got my nails done last week so I was prepared even if they did get messed up! 😂❤️
Honestly!!!! All I see is hotness ❤. Love your videos.
If you're going back to Alaska have a wonderful time it is beautiful up there

Fairbanks Alaska
i love you ❤
Hello Chelsea I'm a adult with Cerebral palsy hope you are doing well ❤
Ms. Chelsea can you tell us how to take a shower or bath living alone with a handicap? 😮
You're amazing honey God bless you baby love you❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Missed you Chelsea! 🙂Glad you’re feeling better! Would a small stool to step on help you with the dryer? Or would you be too unstable?
I think I'd be too nervous getting on a step stool and bending up and down with things in my hands, but maybe I'll give it a try!
I don't think I'll complain again about having to do laundry. LOL Do you drive? Maybe you can do a video on how you drive your own vehicle and all that's involved with that.
LOL! yes I drive! great idea. I'll plan to make a video about that
I wonder if a vacuum cleaner might help you move clothes from the washer to the dryer. Suck the clothing item to an attachment small enough to not let the clothing item get sucked all the way in, move it up, then pluck it off in the dryer.
I never thought of that! I think I'd get nervous the suction would ruin my clothes, but idk! have you tried it?
@@realchelseabear I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy who goes to the laundromat, so, no, I was just thinking out loud. However, after your reply, I decided to try a couple of things.
Addressing the rough on clothes issue, I stuffed the vacuum hose into a swimming pool noodle, figuring that the foam rubber is less hard on clothes than hard plastic. This worked fairly well on socks and t-shirts, not so well on jeans, however, I must note that I have a rather wimpy vacuum cleaner. Then I tried cutting a six inch segment off the end of the noodle. This gives you slightly better suction, but also tends to collapse the hole, so you need to constantly adjust it. Overall, works about the same.
The other thing I tried was attaching some netting to the end of the hose, with the theory that the clothing item would press on the netting without getting sucked in. Didn't work as well, but again, my vacuum cleaner is wimpy. I think both of these things would work better with a more powerful vacuum cleaner. Also seems to work a little better if you use a technique where you're scooping underneath larger articles of clothing.
Of course, it should go without saying that you would want to experiment on clothing you don't really care about before trying it on your most delicate unmentionables. Not sure how useful any of this is, but, at the very least, you get another comment to help you out in the CZcams algorithm. I enjoy your channel very much, keep up the good work. 😃 (Okay, that's not as nice as your smile, but it's the best I can do with emojis.)
your an amazing woman
aww thank you!
You should try doing that in an rv. Just kidding.❤😂 Yes, I live full-time in a cool R. V. And it is difficult washing clothes. Even though I have a wash machine inside the r v.
haha I could only imagine!
It is fun... However I will never complain..@@realchelseabear
Hi Chelsea my name is Shauntaye I have mild cerebral palsy too I live in Texas I am new to your channel unfortunately I don’t drive. I try though

Hey Chelsea. I just wanted to ask you a question. I’m looking into getting a scooter and was wondering what kind you have? Thanks in advance. 😊
Hi! I have a pride mobility go go, 3wheel!
@@realchelseabearthank you so much. I love the name scoots 😊
U are a beauty if i may say so 😍👍

no I've never been there, but I wish!
@@realchelseabear That was my guess. I was wrong. It is a fun place. Went years ago

Dang!!!! Gorgeous body!!! Plus Beautiful smilie.
Kendrick sockey missippiss 41 ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😢😢😮😮
You normalize what should be considered normal, and that is just doing average everyday things like chores, shopping, going on vacations, to a ball game, and even dating as a person with CP. The more disability is SEEN , the Better for everyone. We humans are too in the box,, and need to expand to normalizing out of the box behavior and physical appearances. Diversity is essential for any healthy species.
Marry me
I am disabled.I use a bag type hamper that has handles to get my clothes to the washer.I put the wet clothes into a huge mesh laundry bag to get to the dryer.I use the pickup grabber tool to get clothes out of the dryer.I used to use a plastic laundry basket that would literally kill me.Oh.......my house was built in 1968 so my washer and dryer are not in the same room or even same area in my house.WTF were the builders thinking???😒
ugh nothing is worse than a bad laundry set up! I'm so sorry lol but sounds like you have a good system!
The only thing that would love to see is your beautiful smile. It doesn't make any difference what kind of video you do,as long as I get to see your beautiful smile.
Have a great day and God bless
