- Jeff Buckley is the reason I started singing. I've always been dumbfounded and inspired by the raw talent Buckley possessed - and I also learned to sing by singing along to his music.
I used to cover his material all the time on this channel, but it's been a few years since I've tried. I actually already did this song FIVE YEARS AGO (God, I feel old), but I was never satisfied with the result - I always wanted to redo it. On a whim, I tried.
To those of you that know Buckley's music as well as I do, I hope you feel this does him some justice. And to those that have never heard his material (ESPECIALLY if you're a vocalist) - please go listen to him. You're in for quite a ride.

Thank you, Alessandro! Well, I learned to sing by singing along to (and imitating) singers that I connected with, like Jeff Buckley. I spent a lot of time by myself, figuring out what my voice was capable of. Don't be afraid to "sound bad" and experiment in a space where you feel free from any kind of judgement.

It really is. All of his songs are very challenging, vocally and instrumentally. His Live at Sin-é album really shows off how great of a guitarist he was!
