- Great song, Josh did another amazing job with this one. Delivers every time, which is good as it makes me try harder not to let him down.
The guitar arrangements on this are so complex with difficult riffs, key changes, harmonies, harmony key changes. It's the song that sums up why Metallica is Metallica.

They would mix everything so loud it would sound like crap. And then Lars would say it sounded fine, except for the bass.

So amazing, i started to learn this song 1 year ago (as soon as i got a guitar) and still can't play smoothly the part after 4:19 :(
James obviously was pissed off when he wrote this guitar piece. I can just see him with his face all scrunched together going through guitar strings and blisters. After the last take is done Lars tries to hi five him as James, who can't come down after such an emotional murdering of his guitar, punches him in the face. Lars just looks back up to James and says "thanks".
I like how Josh starts putting his chops in as the song goes on. Always makes it fun. If I was watching a cover band pull off this song I'd absolutely expect it to be this good.
