Hi All, vacuuming is necessary, but the best way to get crystal clear water is to dump in chlorine shock once a week. I use this: Clorine Shock - amzn.to/45jG8xh Hope it helps, thanks
It would have been MORE HELPFUL if you would have covered the connection to the pump and which setting you use to effectively vacuum the bottom of the pool
So I went to my local Watson's pool supply store and I found an inlet hose adaptor, 27 foot vacuum hose, and a triangular vacuum head all for under 100 dollars. I plug into my inlet hole with the adaptor and hose and use my pump to vacuum the bottom of the pool with the suction from the pump. No garden hose needed. That little catch bag wasn't going to catch the small green algae on the bottom of my pool... . The filter will
Not if you're using your hose running from your outdoor spigot, like I did in this video. Some people use an adapter from the drain port on the pump, back to this vacuum. I'm that case, the pump should be on (and set to the drain setting).
I live in the desert so I have sand and dust at the bottom. It does not get picked up with that net. Is there a way to hook up a vacuum system to the pump to clean sand or dirt
@@Danielkerren you turn your garden hose on. That's the water source. Does not attach to filter system in any way. You could use this in a small kiddy pool.
Is there a way to do it by actually attaching it to the pool filter so the pool sand filter itself vacuums the debris? Would be more convenient so you don’t have to readjust pH alkalinity and chlorine levels from adding garden hose water
Yes, you can get an adapter that attaches a hose to the D port (drain), then to your vacuum. Then set the pool pump to the drain setting. Then it's using pool water to vacuum with. Good luck 👍
Yes. If you use a garden hose going to your spigot. As an alternative, you can attach it to the drain port (D), and set the pump to drain. Then you are just recirculating the water. This method requires a proper adapter from the drain port to your hose. Good luck, hope it helps.
This vaccuum is a piece of crap.. I had to get in my pool to get it level enough to the pool floor to suck up anything. And it barely did. Can't wait to get an upgrade. Thanks for the setup though
Yeah, there are test strips you can use to determine what chemicals you will need to add. For example, usually chlorine is required. Test Strips - amzn.to/49QM2au
Quick question can I hook up 2 quick connects one to the tool the other to port D with the quick connect nipple. Switch the pump to backwash and just reuse the pool water to cycle the debris into the vacuum net?

How long do you leave your filter on when you put the shock in?
Thank you by far the most detailed and helpful video ive watched. Finally know how to do this now.
Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated! All the best to you! 👍
I had no clue before seeing this video. THANKS
Thankyou! I was looking for somewhere to hook it up to the pump!!! God bless!

Thank you for the life of me I couldn’t figure it out now I feel like and idiot cause it’s so simple 😂
😂 , no worries! All the best
Thanks! Had box full of stuff but zero instructions. Pool Lifesaver you are!
Glad to hear it!
Thanks wasn't sure how to use the vacuum that came with the pool going to try this again tomorrow
Great video I love the step-by-step details I don't have a pool but maybe one day I will.
Thanks! Go for it, you'll love it!
Thanks so much
Works like a venturi
Best explanation I’ve found yet! Would this method work after using floc too? Or would it escape thru the netting?
I'd like to know also!
Gracias 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
De nada!
What best pool vacuum do you recommend for algae dust? From AZ
Pool pump 0n 0r off when vacuuming
Do I need to have pump running when vacuuming

Wondering same thing
You need to get an adapted that attaches to your pool and set the filter to drain.
You can attach a skimmer sock to it and it will catch the fine debris
Will it pick up dead algi?
@@thecallow2381 the best way to pick up algae would be to use the other pool vacuum instead of the water hose vacuum
Make and model of vacuum?
Can you show what setting it is that you put the pump on to vacuum with.
he used a garden hose..not the pool pump.
Using a garden hose does not mean he didnt use the pump to push water through the vaccumcleaner 😂
@@Danielkerrenseems as if you need to RE-watch the video 😂

@@PracticalMechanic thank you your video was very helpful and your reply as well
No problem, have a great rest of your summer! 🌞
Should i drain water from my pool before i start
No, that's not necessary. It is used underwater.

Did it add water to the pool while vacuuming
Yes, with this type of vacuum, water is added to the pool.
Can this bee used to vaccum dead algae?
Probably need a finer mesh filter for that.
Could probably put those filter balls that come with the filter in there
Any chemical needed for pool ?

Yeah, I don't see why they wouldn't work. Let us know how it goes!
