NATO didn’t go on a military conquest through Europe absorbing Eastern European countries and forcefully make them NATO members.

Probably because the population of places like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland (of which Poland especially has a history of catastrophe at the hands of the Russians in particular) didn’t want to live under a bloody authoritarian Russian rule like the U.S.S.R and their culture being destroyed through Russification.
Not to mention that NATO is a defensive alliance. You have to openly and blatantly attack the territory of a member for NATO to take military action. If NATO wanted to destroy Russia they would have found an excuse by now. The German consulate building in Kyiv was hit with a missile and NATO still hasn’t mobilised.
Let’s not forget about the Budapest Memorandum of 1994 where the Ukrainian government agreed to hand over all Soviet era nuclear weaponry in agreement that the sovereignty of their nation be recognised and that they shall not suffer economic coercion or military action.
Three countries signed this. The USA, the United Kingdom oh and RUSSIA!

The UN General Assembly this week re-affirmed its commitment to the UN Charter's principles of territorial integrity in respect of Ukraine by 143 votes to 5, with 35 abstentions.
The 35 nations who abstained need to be put under pressure to clarify their own positions in respect of territorial integrity of their own counties and then be publicly asked to explain at the UN why they thinks those same rules do not apply to Ukraine.

They ain't gonna admit to anything publicly.
Get them off-mic (or get them to think they are off-mic), and they'll obviously admit that their country has an ongoing relationship with Russia, that they want to economically further benefit from that relationship, and that's not going to happen if they piss off Putin by chastizing him along with the countries which have self-respect and dignity. Even Germany which is beholden to gas supplies from Russia now realize they can't be critical business partners with an enemy. They've cut ties, had their natural gas cut off, and are desperately attempting to import enough LPG to store for the winter. I give them credit for making the painful decision to what is right in supporting Ukraine.

It’s always about non western countries that doesn’t want to be usa puppy.
The biggest being iraq we now know for sure it’s be proven it was all fake proof that’s why French said no we ain’t going to war there cuz at that time they had a decent president and his intelligence services saw right away it was fake. So how come the Un never punished them is there some kind of expire date on when they can sanctions « bad » countries ?

You know I am no supporter or a friend of Putin but a little balanced journalism would be nice like maybe mentioning who is actually been willing to negotiate and have peace talks and diplomacy the entire time (Putin) and who has been attacking anyone and everyone who dares mention peace and diplomacy (Zelensky & NATO) so yeah is the war a horrible atrocity, absolutely and I feel terrible for those who have been displaced or lost their lives but pretending that we did not give Putin every possible excuse to invade is not being honest with yourselves when we promised Zelensky the NATO membership he’s so selfishly demanded despite the threats against it and Russia had every possible justification to refuse Ukraine NATO membership as NATO was literally created to contain the Soviet union and exists to this day only to oppose Russia and they have expanded all the way east while the Soviet union has maintained its agreement and not only not expanded west but have slowly lost land throughout the decades since the agreement in 1992. Why would Russia allow it’s final borders to be blocked off with US/NATO weapons, troops, and military bases which is exactly what they need a membership for Ukraine entails. It was stupid and irresponsible of Zelensky to demand such a request despite the threats from Russia against it which was brushed off and mocked as bluff & for NATO to even entertain the idea and Biden to refuse to sit down and have a talk with Putin for many months prior to the invasion to negotiate a deal where Ukraine remained neutral and they refused as Biden claimed he would not sit down with a killer and a madman even though Biden has literally voted for every single US conflict and war and bombing since he’s been in office for the last 50 years 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
You don’t have to like Putin and neither do I and I understand Russia is under an authoritarian regime but you also don’t have to pretend that Zelenskyy is a fucking hero when he is a corrupt scum sucking taxpayers around the world and allowing the world to go on so he can continue to get his welfare checks by the tens of billions and attacking anyone who dares speak of diplomacy or negotiate a peace deal. You don’t have to pretend that Ukraine was ever a democracy and that Solinski did not lock up his political opposition and radio stations who criticized him the same way Putin and Russia are arresting those who criticize them. You don’t have to pretend like we would ever allow Russian troops, weapons, and military bases on US borders in Mexico and Canada let alone an unholy alliance of 30 of the top militarily capable countries coming together to oppose the US and they give a membership to Mexico to join so they can bring their weapons and troops and military bases to our southern border. Would you be OK with Russian and Chinese troops on our border in Texas? If not, then shut the fuck up about your stupid Ukraine flags pretending you care about Ukrainians who are just dying and being used as pawns in this war of NATO versus Russia and their president is happy to lead them to the slaughter as long as he gets his demanded welfare checks
