To help you get even better grades I’ve written a lot of e-books, packed full of loads of excellent questions to help you study. Because the best thing you can do is practice. Visit my website for e-books, flashcards and extension questions www.primrosekitten.com
Some of the links in here are affiliate links, where is get a small percentage of any money spent, if you like my channel and want to support my work, clicking these is an easy way to do it.
The 'whole of the topic in … minutes' videos DO NOT comprehensively cover everything you need to know for your exams. It would be impossible to include 2 years of teaching in 1 hour. These should NOT be your only source of revision • Do the 'whole topic in... My exam predictions are just GUESSES!! I don't have any insider knowledge just years of looking at exam papers.
I am human, and I make mistakes, please point out any that you find and there is no need to follow that with a load of abuse.

I'm in need of a chem one as well badlyyy
I feel like I'll learn more from this video than I've learned in the entire year and a half of a level maths. Well at least it's more than just watching a teacher solve problems on the board and explaining them as if she's talking herself through them and learning absolutely nothing. Darn I used to love maths so much, that's the difference a teacher can make. Thank you very much for this
I agree 100% with this. Used to love maths up until A-Level, got a teacher who skates over everything as if we should know it already and expects us to be professionals at it. Been on the course for 5 months and learnt almost nothing, at least not enough to complete half the questions. Pretty depressing ngl.
Who actually liked maths.
Man i guess im lucky my teacher's good
I have spent many years teaching A- level Maths and Further Maths. In many respects the modern books are rubbish. In the rush to publication there are many mistakes, the explanations are over-simplified and the scope of the questions is somewhat limited. Students learn maths by doing it, so a fair proportion of my students' class time is spent with them doing questions, while I metaphorically put my feet up!
I hated A-Level maths and now I've come back to maths in my 30s and I'm like, "Yeah, I can revise all of A-Level maths in one evening, what ever was the problem?"
I mean, no topology? Scandalous!
I sympathize 'cause I had to learn on my own and that Bostock and Chandler, well, it's a great book if you know all the material already, but awful for intuitive explanations, which you need if you have a poor teacher or you're working on your own, like I was :/.
Im not sure if anyone has pointed this out but at around 2:24:30 an identity for cos2theta was given to be 1 - sin^(2)theta rather than 1 - 2sin^(2)theta. Just wanted to clarify and an amazing learning resource nonetheless ^-^

Absolutely loving it. I left school 50 years ago but with your help, I'm going to book myself a place at the local college to sit A level maths.
I'm starting my A Level lessons soon and because I've been doing math lessons in greek my whole life. The lessons will obviously be in english and I was kind of worried about how to say things or if i was gonna understand what the teacher was saying but after watching this i'm not worried about a thing! Thank you
Ooh, maths in a different language is rough. My mother’s first language is welsh and she learned all her subjects in welsh but i learned all mine in english, so we always get confused trying to figure out what eachother is talking about lol. Having to switch languages for it at what has to be the hardest point in schooling sounds tough as hell.

Kinda wish I had taken maths, solely so I could rely on you and this video to help me get a decent grade
Learning something, Maths or otherwise, is much easier when the how is explained well and in simple terms along when given ways of remembering formulas/ae. I found this many years ago when coaching someone for their Maths O level and devised a way of helping them with tangent, sine and cosine. Just basic stuff as I'd only got to O level myself a couple of years or so before.

at 53:50 is where sketching quadratics takes place, and for anybody who doesn't know how to differentiate yet, all you need to do is times each number by it's indice, and then reduce the indice by one. It's covered later, but this gives you the gradiant equasion for polynomial.

You're doing A-Level Bio and Chem as a 5/6 year old!
;)
Is this helpful with A level maths? Ik it sounds stupid but im about to start and want to have a base bit of knowledge
I watched you religiously for gcse and I now defo will for alevel THANK YOU ❤️
Listening back to this to relive A-Lvls wartime.
Thankyou for this, I am nearly 17 going into my second year and have allowed me to do a level mathematics next year on top of my current subjects of a level english and business studies.
Thank you so much.... the only youtuber who did this neatly..u deserve millions of subs!
You don't need to wear a cape to be a hero
I'm sorry to tell you this, but i noticed a mistake in you calculations at 1:39:23 as i believe that you accidentally wrote 1^2 as =2. I'm not doing this to hate on your video as this has probably single-handedly saved my a levels and watch this pretty much every week. Keep posting these amazing videos and continue to save many more grades throughout the world. Many thanks!
the way that you and you alone saved my gcses and now are saving my a levels tysm
Hi there, I think you may have made a mistake in your expansion of 2 x (x+1)^2 under the Parametric Equations chapter at 01:39:15 , I think you wrote down 2x^2 +4x + 4 when it should be 2x^2 + 4x + 2, just wanted to make sure that I also had not made a mistake and it is the only one I have spotted so far :)
Yep 2 instead of 4 is right! YOU MUST BE A GENIUS!
I spotted that too, good to know I wasn't the only one
Is there another mistake at 01:40:27 with the rearranging. They minus one from both sides but the +4 turns into a minus 3. Even if it was +2, it still shouldn't be minus 3, right?
@@justfornow3575 ye i just saw that right now lol
19:40 -_- u can take out 3. The quadratic expression can be simplified.
Or just sub it into your calculator making simplifying it a waste of time
its a level not gcse, who cares
Omg i used to watch you for gcse science. I have my a level maths assessment tomorrow and i feel so under prepared. Thank u for this
I'm practicing this 5 years early so I'm quite prepared, thanks for the help😌
I’m sorry but where were you 2 years ago, I would have died from happiness if I had this resource 😭😭
Who's here after they announced the exams have been cancelled xD
Well my exam is tomorrow and it's not cancelled. 😓
if they could also cancel next year that'd be quite handy ngl :P
lmao im still wondering if the exemptions will be given in the exams but i still havent lost hope for exams being cancelled
Can I apply to uni if im late. Anyone that can help me?
I don’t know what you should do. Try emailing your teachers.
the sheer amount of ads in this screwed with my adhd but im so glad this is here!! thank yee
Thank you this is really helpful to revise, even as a uni student, as we tend to forget some maths skills during every summer holiday for some reason :D
Don Primrose Kitten saving my grades since ‘17
I’m here with you until the end!!!
I haven’t even done my GCSE’s yet but I still really understand this! You make it easily understandable
@@flohorton3017 i was wondering what subjects are you taking for gcse btw im in year 10
@@sophie-vd3qr I was thinking maybe biology, psychology and geography but not too sure yet. how about you??
@@flohorton3017 im doing geography history and french

@@user-jq3qt8no7h nice though lol
This video is amazing I've had some trouble knowing how advanced the questions in the exam will ne and now i know ive been overprepraring and know exactly what to study
Have watched two times already, amazing work on that video. Congratulations to people like you who help keep education free for everyone!
1:39:16
2(x+1)^2 = 2x^2 + 4x +2
instead of 2x^2 + 4x + 4
Nope
I wish I had this when I was a kiddo. I might have gotten more than a C. Lovely video, made me feel like a kid again.
I hate home schooling as i have no support. I definitely do appreciate videos like this. It teaches me alot. Thank u
there is a special place in heaven for people like you, thank you so much
Are you planning to do another video for mechanics and statistics in the near future? Would appreciate it lol
Thank you. I'll definitely use this for revision (:
Not me watching this the morning of the exam because I didn’t revise 😭😭😭
@Tina SAYRAZARIN it was harder than I expected
You showed that when explained by the good person maths can be very easy.
This is awesome! Thank you so much! Also, can you do make one for Further Maths and Physics A level please?
For further maths, FM videos helps me quite a bit. Especially with my as discrete maths
@@rushted0276 Tqsvm Rush Ted02...for sharing this awesome info...excellent!
Where’s exponentials and logarithms?
This shall save me, hopefully. 10 hours till my exam!!!
How’s it going
@@ramaalrajabi8544 the test was actual dog shite, I crave death
I FINISHED IT!!!!
Took me so damn long lmao.
Can I just say, that this video is phenomenal
🎉🎉🎉
Time to bookmark this so I can go through the entire course before I have even done it, (I am a year 12 student but it's going so slowly and so far is so easy, I am ever so slowly getting ahead despite not studying outside of school -_- , might as well go completely ahead and finish the course over the Christmas holidays then focus on FM/RE/CS. I'm sure with Active Learn this will be a great aid to covering, at the very least, the basics of the entire course; I will update you on how well it goes)
good luck :)
how did it go and what were your predicted grades
@@fizzasyed2589 A*A*A Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science. Never even used this video lol. Predicted were the same

Hi there!

Thank you! :)
Me: *Has a computer science test tomorrow*
Also me at one in the morning:
This is a great review. I'm planning to go back to college and this is definitely going to help.
Awesome! Thank you!

😁
I'm struggling with maths so much like my brain refuses to take in any of the info and I hate it but here we are oof
Hiya when could we expect the applied version of this? xxx Just because I have mocks in 2 weeks and that's my worst half! xxx :-)
My son is loving this, he keeps pausing the video to do the questions then checking it. He’s 11 y6 junior school xx thanks
That's great!
This was a nice way to revise.
