She shows « chesty » notes up to G5 (before 1995) and she has at least 1 example for each note
@@moonlightfral7111 yes but still the c#5 and D5 are less chesty open than the rest for me
@dededejereme2284 90's Lara has great C#5s and D5s like Celine and Whitney.
@@VivianReedVocals where great c#5 and d5 great ?' Never. . 👌🤣🤣👌
@@dededejereme2284 you don't know a lot about Lara then, she used to be co chesty.
she got one of the most healthy technique ever, that's why she still can sing her older songs almost the same way in her fifties.
Actually she did sing Je Suis Malade and Adagio in their original key past months. Like last July and September 2023. ❤
Lara started in lyrical music, she has already commented on her ability to sing without a mic through large spaces. Her singing approach when she was younger is powerful and heavy (like Whitney) later, she changes her vocal approach when she leaves to conquer the European continent (the D5s in the video), over time, her vocal approach becomes lighter and lighter (sometimes with moments of relaxation like her last tour in 2022). Her vocal prime is therefore “classic” for a trained singer : basically 1993 -> 2010 (about 15 years)
Imma pin this instead 💀
Interesting. I acc prefer her heavier approach from her early 90s. I do believe she has only improved from a musicality standpoint though. Amazing consistent vocalist.
seriously the D5 at 3.28 for me it's tense it's enormously strong I find .. I don't find it beautiful

She’s one of the best vocalists ever. Her live performances are incredible
She is by far one of the smartest vocalists alive
Queen! Her emotive ability is my favourite part of her as an artist. She means every word she sings and it's apparent.
And she's quite a good songwriter 😏
Agreed. Incredible musician
I always get emotional with Je Suis Malade
@@confidentriah3406 Don't we all 😩
Lara Fabian is definitely the fourth hidden vocalist of the trinity...
I agree 100%
@@Matthew9.__ Preach. I honestly don't think her M2 is that great either. It's def more developed than her chest though.
@@Matthew9.__ Lara’s voice is more developed than the one of Mariah
@@Matthew9.__ wrong Lara's chest is developed and solid
@@Matthew9.__ that’s a choice she made, she proves it many time that she has nice chest voice when she want.
Lara Fabian really knows her voice well. A skill all singers should have.
Lara is a belter, and a great one. I just wish she didn't be so light and the years passed cause we know she can project her voice amazingly. Her head voice is kinda underrated, really pretty and great technically too. Her emotions and musicality are amazing as well
she is excellent not great

Part of the Lara Fabian's review
by William Ruhlmann. (He is a famous music critic from The USA). He wrote this in May, 30, 2000.
"... It's no surprise that Sony has thrown its considerable weight behind the effort to make Fabian an international superstar. And there's no mistaking that effort on her self-titled English debut (not to be confused with her self-titled debut of 1991, which was sung in French). All the accoutrements of major-label largesse are present, especially in the total of ten credited producers, who include Patrick Leonard (Madonna), Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey), and Brian Rawling, who produced Cher's comeback hit "Believe." Working closely with Fabian, who is a songwriter as well, these heavy hitters have created widescreen power ballads with the occasional dance song thrown in. The lyrics are the usual generalized depictions of the joys and turmoil of romance, with the music almost invariably swelling portentously halfway through the track so the singer can take off on an overwrought tear. Fabian has the pipes to handle such material and is actually better at singing in English than Dion, who always had trouble with her phrasing. She doesn't do herself any favors as a songwriter, but that isn't very important on this kind of record. As in a big-budget summer movie, it's the stars and special effects that matter, not the plot. It's easy to see this album making Lara Fabian a star in the English-speaking world..." 😉😘
@@VivianReedVocals so whats the difference between great and excellent
@@VivianReedVocalsis that an insult or compliment lol
Amazing singer! I love how easy her voice sounds. It almost feels like she has no breaks throughout her voice. Her tone naturally is very lyrical and girly. She knows her voice very well. My favorite belts are her G4-C5 range for sure. Incredible vocalist.
My favorite belts are her G4-C5 range for sure. agrre with you
The thing with Lara, compared to most others, is that she is also one of the best storyteller and emotions conveyer that ever existed.
This complete package gives mesmerizing performances as opposed to vocal acrobatics disconnected from the words, the music and the feelings.
Erick, the person who edited this video hates Lara, her/his purpose is try to humiliate Lara. Did you ser her/his comments here? It's like "She's not great, she 's just good."
"Her G5 is shaky."
"Lara low notes are week and not good."
What a looser.

Amazing video, Lara is brilliant, I love her headvoice and belts so much!!!
Her voice is heavenly! She has a beautiful timbre and power too. I do miss her early 90s approach to her belting.
She did the right thing for lightening her approach it's for her vocal preservation and health
@@allykelly Does lighter coordination preserve your voice better though? Patti for example sings with a lot of weight but still preserves her voice.
@@nomore9686 well yes but today she got deteriorated a bit
Patti's technique isn't the most sustainable her twanggy style narrow the airflow and create more piercing sounds
@@allykelly Ah I see! Btw I hope you don't think I'm confrontational. I really do enjoy your videos. You pick really great singers. Would you ever do a video on Vivian Reed?
@@nomore9686 i would 😍 she's like among the best vocalist ever
4:01 the power.. wow!
The Queen Of Resonance and master of vowel coordination. She is The Ring.
idk who her hairstylist is but her hair is always on point😻
Good examples of her highest notes. I just discovered today the Bb5's in Requiem.
Honestly, all these comments saying she has no chest development or resonance, we are not hearing the same things that is for sure.
And what's the obsession with unnecessary weight and "chest". She sings a lot lighter nowadays partly because of the French media blasting her for sounding too strident like her song Je'Taime. Even her 'headier' coordination up to maybe 2010 is not even something I would even consider overly light. She's even lighter now cause of age but she still has moments where she still sounds like her prime.
Some people even said that she has no TA which is incorrect, sohyang does have that and chest development just not very developed
And u have a point
I think being objective it was very powerful until C5 until 2008/2009 at the most see 2010 by pushing yes but then as soon as it passes on C # 5 it falls to 2004 .. for its D5 I think is its weak note; yes she made one or two D5 PUISSANT in 1998 but I listen to them not open not free, quite compressed
Queen 🥰
I know some would go for heady mixed, but I prefer chesty mixed. It's more powerful and vocally challenging. It's a personal choice.
Chesty mix is a contradiction
Lara is fully consistent with bb5 and some solid g#3
She was consist with Bb5 but in lows more like A3
I think if we compare it with the trinity! the place where lara fabian is superior is the way she sings in headymix mode. it seems to me that the other three cannot have a heady mix as stable and made with support on the D5/EB5/E5 notes (I'm talking about the heady mix)
Thank you for this Odette ! Exactly what I just said to one of my student who was complaining about not being able to sing some parts of Lara's song with the same tone quality. She asked me what was the difference and I told her that she could try singing in mix-head with lots of pharyngeal resonance (instead of trying to belt with a strong chest) 🙂
I actually prefer her headymix over her belts with knodel quality. Her voice is prettier in the mix. As for belting i prefer her in her early 90's
😍😍
yes here I agree with you .. I also prefer the heady mix than his full voice ... I totally agree ^^
This video is great, however it would be better if you added hee voice dynamisms..her dynamics is even better than almost the trinity and as great as Whitney's
Omgggg how can I forgot it I'll link it in description box I'd say it's above trinity

Also, looking at the different consistent (supported or proper, it's up to how you say it) ranges, would you say that Lara's better than the Vocal Trinity in belting??
In terms of development she never beat trinity especially but in terms of sustainability and consistency lara does beat them
I think so but it all depends on the grades.. and so for me lara is very very strong on A4/B4 we can add C5 young too....
@Eno B no, Lara is nowhere near whitney or celine
05:55 talk about projection!😍
Ally is mini lara
I think some notes above F5 are mixed??? They don't sound belted to me
The clips when she got older yes
Some,yes..
it's complicated to hear it between mixed and belting on F5... F#5 I think more mixed
@@dededejereme2284 duhhh most of her F#5s (early/mid 2000s perhaps)
were belted more than F5, Eb5 tho
@@hoanganh9769 czcams.com/video/_MggmqORh3g/video.html. Its good but lot reverb ... 🙃
Can u do about Sabrina Carpenter?Or Halsey?Or Melanie Martinez?❤️❤️
I think Melanie might be a bit of a stretch, due to the weed she smokes a lot, it’s having adverse effects on her voice, and if she went to a voice teacher to help her train, she would definitely be better!
I do adore Melanie though!
eh there are more interesting vocalist than halsey or melanie
@@vyeagra420 just because there are artists that can belt higher, doesn't mean that are more interesting. They have one of the most interesting tones in pop music
Sabrina is good vocalist but halsey has some potential too. She can nail rock songs easily.
Idk
Wow i love the quality of her belts upto C#5, is it because they have more chest than the notes above??? i thought some bashed her for apparantly not belting from D5/Eb5 ?? enlighten me pls, also from D5 she's still belting but its just light right?? How would u rate her chest development on a scale of 1-10
She belt up to G5 but light
She belts with a lighter co-ordination in the 5th octave. There's nothing wrong with that because she sounds really good whilst doing so.
its notes are powerfu chest l until C#5 but before 2006 I think and even before for me its C#5 and D5 lacks core, it loses its tone.. I find it a little out of range

You did mention NOTHING negative in Celine's video, but you're a LOT of criticism about Lara's belting and vocal thecnique. 😂😂😂😂😂

@@allykelly Hahahahahaaaha This G5 was shaky? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Show me Celine doing a G5 in mixed/chest voice in 2020 or 2022. Celine can't sing anymore, my dear. Menawhile Lara keeps holding C5 in chest over 15 seconds and G5 in her past concerts 2022/2023. She's also has been working as vocal coach at Star Academy in France and Canada since 2006. Bye, Lara's hater.
@@EmanuelRecemConvertido well it's unfair because Celine is very sick. Lara doing small C5 with aspiration isn't impressive either
@@allykelly Then Celine has been sick since 1998, because she has been lipsync 70% part of her concers since then. There's just few performances of The Power of Love 100% live since 1993. She has been lipsync the belting in the song in almost 100% of her concerts for decades. There's a vídeo on youtube showing the same pré recorded part of this music being used since 1998 to 2010. ;) 😉 Celine is dying terrible, without move her muscles, I guess this is a God's punishment because as we know, her husband hated Lara and tried EVERYTHING he could to stop her success in Canada. Lara already spoke a little bit about this. She said "A big man from the Music Industry in Canada didn't want me to perform at TV programs and radios there. They tried to send me back to Belgium. I don't know why."
