Surprisingly, the system out there isn't too too old but that school totally screams 1960's all over. Also check out that emergency light(the one with the woodgrain housing) that's definitely as old as the school...surprised they haven't replaced that; My high school back in the mid 90's had those exact units and they were all replaced just before I graduated due to their age. As for those oil tanks out back, I bet at least one of those supplies the diesel for the generator. Love the generator building it's almost exactly like yours but bigger. As for the trip out there; that's one ""far out" school man...super far out.
@@nics-systems-electric I hated it too particularly because of the way it was rolled out. Thank God I only had to attend 3 months of it to graduate in 2020.
I have a question but its kinda random, i was wondering if you could make a video series on how to work with electrical and proper color coding etc, since your a electrician it would be helpful
Well, I’m not actually an electrician, but it’s pretty simple for colours red black blue for ABC phase at least in Canada everything differs for around the world
With the lack of security, you could prob hit a lick on the fire alarm system. Free vintage Edwards! Vintage edwards was always better than modern edwards.
our batteries are replaced every so often on a sechulde so they never reach fail stage in service. they have a rated life span and we replace them just before that time
Rural kids have more fun we have a four room k-8 and a one room k-8 by our little town. They bus kids to town for high school. I would hate the bus rides lol😊
I'm curious about this too, I'm not too familiar with emergency lights. But the button he hit was the test button. And the buzzing, I don't know if I had to guess it could be a relay switching on and off really fast because it can't keep it self powered. The only issue with that is I don't remember seeing a relay in those things but again I don't usually mess with them so the relay may be hidden. And also they changed the battery in it near the end of the video which solved it.
Well, the students don’t have to go far to the school they live right in the community. It’s only a far drive for them to go to middle or high school after they are finished at this elementary.

we dont replace them unless they fail testing we do often and even then its normally just a new battery and maybe a few light heads
This gives me flashbacks to white-knuckling a full size SUV around Lake Tahoe, CA. Cannot even imagine navigating that in anything but fair weather.
Would be fun for the kids in the school bus too
Good music, fire alarms, me happy
That generator is louder than the one at your high school.
When you're right beside them they are both just as loud from the outside of the building this one is louder because it's not inside a insulated room
It’s 2023, these kids could attend school virtually and have a much better quality of life.
