Celtics just proving me wrong left and right. Had them losing to the Bucks, had them losing to the Heat then had them losing game 1. My brain says GSW for the finals but my heart does want Boston to get the chip especially for Al Horford. Guy's put in the work all his career and has been rebuffed so many times in the playoffs and was loyal to a point to the team that drafted him. Never the best at his position but always competed. Don't know if they can really pull it off completely but I'll be cheering the C's until this playoff run ends, one way or the other.

Celtics had the best run in this playoffs so far. Sweeping KD and Kyrie, eliminating the reigning champs Giannis and the Bucks in 7, eliminating #1 seed in the East Miami in 7, and now trying to win the finals against the best team of the last 10 years in the Warriors.
EDIT: To the people saying the teams they beat were unhealthy, don't forget Smart and Rob Williams were in and out of the lineup as well in some parts of the playoffs and JB was going through a hamstring injury and JT suffered some nagging shoulder injury as well. And while this isn't the same Warriors from 2017 and 2018, GS is still one of the best organizations in today's era both in terms of their front office and their system which allows them to be successful when healthy. Plus it's Steph, Klay, and Dray. These guys are one of the best trios in NBA history just considering how well they fit together and how much they won together. I mean would you really put the Warriors ahead of the Celtics in terms of a better playoff run so far? The Warriors went up against Jokic who's missing his 2nd and 3rd best teammates so it's always 1v5. Memphis lost Ja and while the Grizz had success without him, he's still their best player and closer in the clutch as evident of their erratic decision making without him on the floor and the Grizz plays with no pressure without him so it just makes them unpredictable, but not better. And Dallas who lives and dies by the 3 with Luka obviously exhausted as heck. And I'm not even a C's fan and I don't root for any of the teams playing in the finals so I'm not being biased. And I'm not hating on the Warriors, just considering their situations side by side would obviously show that the Celtics had a better run. Just love watching some good basketball.

Warriors offense went stagnant and Celtics defense forced them into turnovers which has always been their biggest issue. The Celtics not missing any shots prevented any fast break opportunities which limited their offense. Overall they still managed to get similar looks, they just had less opportunities at shots because of those issues and skme just didn’t fall. Hope that clears it up for you

I mean Horford and Smart will have some stinkers. But they will find different ways to stay in rhythm on offense when their jumpers aren't going in. Smart can always go after a smaller matchup against him and see if he can draw a foul. When those games happen tho Tatum needs to step up and be a walking bucket himself. Though if the Warriors can't slow him down with his play making, I think it changes the direction where the series goes because he was feeding the C's offense so well in game 1. Same with Brown who looks like he'll make BBQ chicken out of Poole all series long. Either bother his handles or he just gets to play his own brand of bully ball.

Al has been in many playoff battles in the 2010s. But he probably feels this is his best shot at something he's always wanted (as his Hawks/earlier C's got gate kept by Lebron's Cavs) so he may go 150% for this series alone.

Boston’s defense locked in and stayed focused. They just stayed on a string and it was beautiful.
Also helped that the Warriors played Iguodala and Draymond during that run pretty much making the Warriors offense harder on themselves. Warriors just completely collapsed on defense. Everything was an easy kickout and guys were ball watching and not rotating with energy at all.

Boston are really something else at the moment. They were struggling in first half yet were close. They survived third quarter Warriors and smashed in fourth. I was of firm belief that Warriors are too experienced but now I see possibility that Celtics can win this series.

    • @t4d0W
      @t4d0W Před 2 lety +1

Warriors have the experience but in the Celtics case, they could be in the perfect storm of having everything come together for them. Tatum isn't on his prime yet but his arrival at the Finals is kicking his do or die attitude up. Even when his offense wasn't great his playmaking was good enough to get everyone else moving the ball for quality looks. He will need a handful of 30+ point games if he is lead his team to a chip. The good news is that their defense is holding up somewhat vs the Warriors shooting hot and if they have the offense to match, they can steal some Ws and close out.

This was a game that showed what great teams do.
The number 1 guy wasn't scoring and the others stepped up big time.
Smart, Brown, Horford, White all contributed with Tatum not hitting his shots, and they stayed the course defensively.

Thanks for this great video. I loved watching the Celts handle their business against the Warriors, and appreciate your focus on these guys.
Also, I really appreciate your clarity and professional delivery. On top of that, I think your tone of voice has a friendly, congenial quality to it. That's why I think I can safely ask you the following question.... (I’ve asked this same question of at least twenty other CZcams presenters, so I hope you don’t take it personally, or in a negative way. I’m on a quest to understand a particular speech pattern and, so far, I don’t have any clear answers.)
My question: Why do you often say *aye* for “a” ... and *thee* for “the”? (You even pronounced “another” as *aye-nother.* To my knowledge, there are very limited circumstances in which those pronunciations would be correct (i.e., most often related to the first letter of the word that follows the article)... and most of the time they're not. To my ears, these sounds very unnatural -- I have doubts you or anyone would use these pronunciations in everyday conversation, for example.
I remember my father doing this, when I was a kid, while he was pretending to be a newscaster or a high-ranking military officer. My only guess, at this point, is that there is a belief that these pronunciations make the speaker sound more formal or educated. I am interested in hearing from those who use this speech pattern, however, and would appreciate any light you could shed on this.

Man I really like our response throughout this playoffs not only after losses but now after starting of slow too. During the 3rd quarter GSW went on a run like they always do and JT was playing terrible but we hanged on and never gave up. Jaylen stepped up and set the tone on the beginning of the 4th quarter and then Horford and White were shooting lights out. Overall great passing and sharing. A real unsung hero was Pritchard he really plays hard every possession and his a great shooter. Don't know why they think he is a defensive liability he can hold on his own in the Heat series whenever Butler got the switch he didn't give him a inch of space. For me Theis and Pritchard need to see the floor in strives so we can be well rested in crunch time

I think the key for Boston was the small lineup early in the 4th, with Al at 5, White and Pritchard. In defence they were better following warriors's guards in the screens, and in offence they played faster and moved the ball very good which led to all those 3's. Very enjoyable game :)
