    Yeah but if they were to remake I would like them to somehow pull off where everything could be isometric but you could hit a button to go into a 3D version of the game. Many games have done something similar with graphics. Halo MCC and also Tomb Raider 1-3 Remasters. But I think it would be a good idea. Both fans of the OG 1-2 Style could be happy and the newer 3-4/FO76 would be happy too.

    If there are plans to remake Fallout 1 and 2, then bring in the team that's been making the Wasteland games.
    The first wasteland game was what inspired fallout. And when the original publisher for the first two fallout games went bankrupt, some of the dev's went to the Wasteland team.
    Even the NCR's Ranger's are a reference to the faction you play as in Wasteland, the Desert Rangers or Arizona Ranger's.
    I also just want the Wasteland games to get more attention. I've only played the third, but its been fun.

    Fallout 2 fixed some of the interface issues with the first fallout. But if the game was remade, the main thing that I think should be totally overhauled is the combat and make it more tactical in terms of player skill, taking influence from modern xcom,baldurs gate 3 and jagged alliance 3. Keep the script mostly the same, update the visuals to be at least pathfinder: wrath of the righteous level in terms of tech, etc.

  • @SynthLizard8
    @SynthLizard8 Před 25 dny

    A remake should only be done where there's a matter of a game limitation or a vision that cannot be achieved with the current one.
    The Tomb Raider trilogy recieved the remaster because if you remade it, controls and all, then it wouldn't be the same game as the original, all the issues you listed, from the menus, the graphics and mechanics, all those can be reworked and tweaked in a remaster, like a highlight for objects with a nametag over them and all commands can be activated with readily accessible prompts.
    Fallout 1 and 2 need remasters, if they are remade then they wouldn't be the same game.

  • @KristopherPrime
    @KristopherPrime Před 15 dny

    Agreed. Fallout 1 and 2 definitely need a remake… in the form of modern 3d fallout. In short: don’t do much more than is necessary to “translate” it from 2d to 3d. Heck, the basis for this is already there in new Vegas. Reuse said assets, create new elements when necessary, and you got a good game!

    Yeah, Obsidian should definitely do it, but I don't think Bethesda wants to see them be praised by the critics, for the second time after New Vegas, for handling the IP better then Tod Howard's minions.
    Bethesda didn't even paid the bonus they promised to Obsidian for reaching the goals. That's sets the bar.

    • @ytmld
      @ytmld Před 15 dny +3

      i thought todd had spite for the obsidian devs for making an objectively better game than them, but tbh if you look at almost everything avellone jsaw or todd have said, none of them are mad at each other. in most interviews with todd explaining new vegas, he says he actually liked their work on the franchise, and you could see from their nods to the game in the tv show. the only reason bethesda doesnt give the fallout ip to a 3rd party is just cause of money and selectiveness, theres no behind the scenes drama or anything.

I would also love extended content to be added to add to that experience and to ensure I can clock in many more hours of playthrough run time with them.
