We sat down to talk about & break down his latest album 'Stony Hill'. Damian talks about the importance of the name, & goes into detail, breaking down some of the records from the album.
We discuss Damian's beginnings, how he got into music & the fact that his Mum wouldn't let him perform if he got bad grades in school. Damian talks about not finding it too difficult to step out from under his father's shadow & he also recalls his first studio session.
We talk about the first conversation he ever had with Jay Z, how Jay wanted to sign him to Def Jam & we also discuss whether there's a difference between Reggae & Dancehall.

I love Damian he is well beyond his years. I love that he thinks before he speaks. He will correct an interviewer and not let his words be twisted. He is a messenger truly his father in our day and time.
Excellent interview! You actually talked about Damian rather than Bob which is refreshing. The questions were original and interesting and Damian was engaged in the interview. I love listening to Damian being interviewed but it's even better when done by a good interviewer. I agree - always felt the same: dancehall is reggae music (sung by reggae artists). Was puzzled when someone labeled Bernie Man’s (World Dance, Foundation: reggae) new music as ‘dancehall’.
Always interesting to hear the opinion of different artists. I was especially interested in Damian’s view on it.
