I remember when Damian & Nas released their album Distant Relatives a few years back. I don't listen to the album as frequently as I'd like to but I've always said it was by far one of my favourite albums. The music was so energetic and alive. They really brought an incredible element to the game. I'd love to see them release part 2. I travelled over 300 miles a few years back to see Nas & Damian perform at London's Wembley Arena. Erykah Badu was the opening act. They put on possibly the greatest show I've ever seen. Damian's dreads were a few inches off the floor. They also had a friend on stage who waved a *BIG* Jamaican flag around for the entire set. None of us could understand how he didn't collapse from exhaustion haha. Everyone in the stands was smoking weed and at one point they asked to have the lights cut out. Once the lights were out Damian told everyone, "Put your lighters in the air!". The entire arena lit up. I've never seen anything like it. Thanks for the memories Damian & Nas.
This is gonna sound like I'm trolling but I promise I'm not lol a while back Damian tweeted me back answering my question that there will be a Distant Relatives 2 and there's been a lot of Rumours that Damian Marley will be performing with Nas on his new tour with Lauryn
It is really amazing when you consider the impact of this comparatively small island nation's culture on the entire globe. They did it before the internet was available too.
..and your Flag Guy story had me smiling, as I've been telling people about this guy since I had the privilege of catching Damian in Chicago.... at a beautiful outdoor venue w/the city skyline as the backdrop & the huge lakefront glistening at rt angle. Was an evening show. Damian was killing it and so was 'Donovan,' waving that flag for his Life... aaand mine. ;) Was a spectacular sight
NOTE: During the wars between the British and Asanti in Ghana, the British had Jamaican troops. Somewhere along the line the Jamaicans showed us how to play the guitar this laid the foundation for highlife music which is the grand father for Afro pop. Greetings from the mother land Ghana.
Boi u guys r GOOD ! Aloha from Maui, I first heard of Wiz-kid, when I was in West Africa I am feeling that music !. So happy Jr. Gong got to meet him. See u on the Jam Rock cruse this Nov. LOVE YU-AH, Hawaii- Leah Tunkara

Do they wholesale or can they do that there ? I'm glad he did that, i'm hoping more black people in California get into that. I want it to be legal in Jamaica, i think they can make some real quality medical weed there, i really don't like the idea of this artificially strong weed, i guess we can call it GMO weed. We need to get away from that, i think that more black people in Jamaica need to buy land so that when the time comes for this to happen they can run the land and get the benefits from their land.
Ebro, don't ask businesses that are trying to make a brand for themselves for free stuff. His family's brand unfortunately isn't like Nike or McDonalds.
AKelly47s decriminalization is different from legalization. Decriminalizing it means if you get caught there's a fine but no jail time (based on how much you're caught with). Intent to distribute will get you into bigger trouble. Legalizing means it's completely legal for sale and usage without consequence.
Peytonfan Here's something profound (I think). Damian isn't the best at interviews but I just watched a Chronixx interview on both this and Sway and no matter who does the interview Chronixx deliver. He's on a completely different level that Damian. And I'm a fan of both.

Khalid Mxsic I can't believe they put Wayne on that album out of all the MCS they put Lil Wayne

I like it that Ebro has taken note of Burna boy (an underrated Nigeria music star) with a string of hits in Africa.
Enjoyed his interview here much more than the others I have seen ..great job to Ebro and the team!

The legalization trend will not be reversed. There is too much tax money flowing in and Jef Sessions isn't long for the job.
Here because of #wizkid
The Gong
Wait a second isnt marijuna is legal in jamaica. its decriminalized
