I have had issues with this for decades with no answers from doctors, specialists and physio's. I finally came across something similar to this which led me down this path. You explained it beautifully. Thank you so much. After 1 week of massage and stretching the right muscles, my dizziness, eye focus, chronic sinus pain, and the list goes on, have either stopped or are considerably better to the point of no pain pills for 3 days so far. I can't remember a time when I didn't wake up and choke down a fist full of rubbish doctors gave me, that now I see were not only pointless, but ultimately causing me harm in other ways. Again thank you for everything you do. You by far are one of the Elite. ♥️

I've been practising the suggested exercises in this and another 2 of your videos and YES, YES, YES, I can honestly report that I've noticed a significant reduction in right neck and shoulder pain and numbness in 3 of my fingers.

I have been suffering with ALL of the symptoms you mentioned in this video for the last 3 year's and I've been to over 50 different doctor's and I've been through 100's of hour's of physical therapy and procedures and NO ONE has helped me like this video has!!! I'm seeing a Chiropractor tomorrow and I'm planning on sharing with him about treating my SCM because just in these last two day's I've already noticed some relief, more than I have in the last three year's. None of those doctor's ever tried to address the actual problem they just kept trying to give me pill's that I kept refusing. I just stumbled upon your videos a couple of day's ago. THANK YOU!!!!!

You’re literally the only Doctor I trust!!! I’ve had major issues with this for 6-8 months straight, going from one doctor to next.
First to Family doctor and was sent to Allergy specialists, then ENT and then to neurologist.🤦🏻‍♀️
No one can figure it out, when I got to neurologist, he tried to prescribe me “anti depressants meds”.🤯🤯🤯
I told him the exact symptoms of all that you’ve listed here and mainly dizziness. I was so shocked, I left that office immediately and start researching it my self.
I found through weeks of research, this SCM muscle is what caused it, how did I know that?
Because I started massaging and release the trigger points and all the symptoms eventually went away.
Seriously, I was soooooo turned off by all these doctors and so called specialists. It was the biggest lesson I’ve learned and not to trust them just because they have a “doctor” degree.
I truly appreciate this video and it needs to be more spread across the world, this muscles truly does cause many issues, which scares people and frustration affecting their lives. Thank you thank you for your incredible honesty and your knowledge. I only watch your videos for anyone health related.
Like you’ve said, It’s absolutely B.S. what these doctors are doing just prescribing meds, because of BIG Pharma pays them incentive to sign off their poisons. But then like you, there’s few that are good doctors that will try to go more holistic or less invasive treatments, which I find refreshing and appreciate.🙏🏼

Ok this is it for me!! This is IT!! I'm literally in tears from you helping me pinpoint exactly the cause of ALL of my debilitating side effects/referred pain. I've been so plagued & stressed bc of this. I've watched several of your videos on how to individually assist the various symptoms I have had, while of course never knowing (but praying) that collectively they've been caused by ONE major muscle: my left SCM. I know this healing will be a journey, but one I'm much less worried about since finding near immediate relief tonight. I have been desperate the last year bc the symptoms were progressing & I was beginning to experience further muscle spasms in my left bicep & mass amount of pain in my rotator cuff. I just worked out the SCM as much as I could stand - it was tighter than I could have ever known. I've been an athlete my entire life & have ridiculous muscle memory, however, I now know this is the trigger... Now my left arm is tingling all the way down into my thumb lol (I hope this is normal after several trigger points being released?), but I'll take that ANY DAY over that foggy, irritated hangman shoulder feeling that gnaws away at my stomach (and sanity). I wish there was some way to repay you bc I would in a heartbeat above & beyond! We need more ppl like you in this world - you truly are one of a kind. Genuinely, thank you SOOOO much!! 💋😄

@@amberray3081 scm trigger point massaging, and scm stretches. Don’t stretch too hard, just on the edge of feeling the stretch and do it several times a day holding for 20-30 seconds. If you do it that way, you should see an improvement in range and your symptoms as well. For the massage be careful not to hit your artery behind the muscle(if you feel a very obvious pulse under your fingers, back off) Use a “C” shaped hand to pinch the muscle gently from the sides rather than pressing into the neck when working your scms. Remember to work the full muscle from the head attachment to the collar bone.

For the past 2 years I've been suffering vertigo with blurry vision, disorientation, tmj, and neck pain (which I've suffered from for many years) I ended up resigning from my job so I could figure out the cause. I've had had many tests done all for a neurologist to tell me that it's stress. The one thing I haven't done in a long time is go to a chiropractor. I will hopefully be consulting with her this week for sure, along with continuing your suggested neck and jaw exercises. Thank you kind, smart man!! 😇

Wow, a lot of great information. SCM is one of the main areas I work in the neck and teach clients to work. I recommend avoiding pressing into the neck on cross-fiber in order to lessen the risks associated with so many delicate structures under the SCM. We can get complete release by cross fiber friction on the attachments then pulling the middle of the muscle away from the neck and roll them between the index finger and thumb. Apply the pressure with the FLATS of the fingers to avoid pinchy feeling.
I never realized it can cause dizziness. One current client has had vertigo for several years. Her SCMs were very tight. I've taught her how to keep them released. I look forward to learning whether her vertigo resolves!

I’ve had trouble this past year from a cancer mastectomy 8 years ago. That whole, are and down the back,,under the arm..was numb for 7:years. When it began to come out of numbness, then I’ve gotten pains,,vertigo, etc. and nearly everything you’ve described in your videos. The side head turn for 30 seconds each,,was helping a lot. Even did 2 maneuvers for the tinnitus after my alternative dr. did it for me one time. That started the help but suddenly, it got worse. Then I found your video on relieving the vagus nerve and it’s been helping a lot. Vertigo was almost gone but I started working in the veggie garden after that and now for the last 3 days, I’ve had a roar growing in the head and the tinnitus also got louder. I’ve have a little ear pain now and then,,I have rotten teeth I can’t get attended to,,and I know I’ve stretched the vagus relief by picking up,and carrying heavy potted plants. I need help but not sure my GP will know anything about it and my alternative M.D.is not in office Fridays thru Sundays. It’s now a Friday afternoon. I was hoping to find some exercise in this video that might stop the awful, head roaring..... I’m sure the numbness from the cancer operation so,long ago, leaving, is a healing action but it keeps leading me into new pains. Help..is there help for me..?

Doc, I want to thank you very much for your video on the neck pillow. I’ve been suffering for over 3 years with chronic ear ringing so bad I didn’t want to live anymore. I hated my life and wanted to die. I’ve been to so many doctors, that I hate doctors! Then I seen your video on the neck pillow. I rolled up a towel the first night and I rolled it too tight and I couldn’t sleep on it. The next night I made the towel not so tight and BINGO! The next morning I had no ear ringing! NO EAR RINGING! And that was almost 3 weeks ago! I went to Amazon and actually bought a neck pillow that clips onto the bottom of my pillow. Some days my ears do ring, but it is low and doesn’t effect me. I’m a whole new person, I’ve been working out, fixing things around the house, and I have a whole new lookout in life. I’ve even lost 10 lbs. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me. I have a friend that has a pinched nerve in his neck and I told him about the towel trick too!.............

It started last year in September when I one night cough really hard and had this excruciating pain in my left ear and the next morning when I got up this awful dizziness began. I was on my knees crying for months. On stematill pills, seeing ENT s, had MR, CT everything you can imagine. Then they said it is TMJ so I went to see a really good physio and he helped me a lot and he was also working on SCM muscles. I am better now but the dizziness still comes and goes and the pain in the ear and around the ear and now also headaches :-(. So now I am going back to see him so he can start working on the SCM muscles. Thank you so much.

I know I commented on some of your other videos doc. I had an ear infection and it’s completely healed with the help of amoxicillin. Now a month after that I’m still dealing with vertigo. I had a MRI on my Brain and neck, no pinch nerves nothing in my head. I’ve been keeping an eye on my neck and came across the constant activity I’ve been getting in my neck. Constant tension pulsating on my upper neck in the back area and also on my scm muscle. When I put pressure on my scm muscles I noticed it quite painful. Also pain in my trapezoids too. I did some research on scm muscles and I have about 5-6 of the symptoms. I see a chiropractor this Tuesday and hopefully they can help me with this scm muscle. I believe I know what caused pain in my scm muscle but when I get back to 100% I’ll inform ya what was the cause. Hopefully I will remember this comment so I can help someone else out there too.

I have lots of ugly MRIs but won't let any doc do surgery. This particular video makes so much sense to me, I have had vertigo, ear ringing, extreme neck pain, TMJ, Occipital pain and more. Vertigo is gone, neck pain is gone, TMJ is gone, horrible occipital pain is gone!! Still working on the ear ringing but I know that it will also go away soon. I have added many of the your suggested stretches to my daily routine. I started developing all of these symptoms after my competition dressage horse bucked me off in 2008. Thank you for all the information you give us! I've learned so much and apply your exercises on my daughter and myself. I've been having vertigo for two years and it's been horrible since I can't do a lot of normal stuff (like driving, focusing on one thing without feeling like the world is spinning, getting a job etc) because I get so dizzy. I had therapy for it a few months ago but it came back. I'm just afraid that it's more than just vertigo because I run out of breath when I get my vertigo episodes. I feel like certain sounds trigger the dizziness. Even when I get frustrated, nervous or cry I start feeling really dizzy. It almost feels like I'm going to faint. I rarely cry, but when I feel like I'm about to cry I stop myself because I start feeling extremely dizzy. My doctor did send me to the cardiologist and he said my heart is completely fine. I do run on the low side of blood pressure but they told me it's normal for me to do so since I am petite. I always have a certain type of pain around my neck and shoulders and chest. I always pop my chest it's so strange! Can that be causing my vertigo? If you can please give me some advice I would highly appreciate that. Thank you for your knowledge and time!

You're absolutely amazing. Thank you... this video has helped me out so much. I had a horrible experience with a doctor who barely wanted to explain to me the results of my MRI. He didn't examine me or explain what Mild Tendinosis of the distal supraspinatus tendon with no tear meant. All he kept saying is that it is a mild issue you don't have to worry too much about it...WHAT? I was telling him what I was feeling that it was a constant pain almost debilitating because i felt so drained because I didn't know what was going on...which was heat on my neck, cheek and behind my ear and he said it's all part of your issue. I'll prescribe you some anti-inflammtories and just take them for two weeks and you should be fine. I left the doctors so angry and I was determined to find out what the real cause of my issue is because I wake up with this pain. I definitely believe it is the way I have been sleeping. I sleep on my left side and not in correct alignment either and this throbbing, warm pain is on my left SC Muscle. I nearly screamed when I saw all the areas it effects because that is exactly what I've been experiencing for nearly a year. Be blessed you're doing amazing work and I appreciate you so much.
