Finally a full review of the most talked about G-Shock of 2019, the GA2100. Also known as Casio Royal Oak and AP G-Shock, The GA-2100 has gotten a lot of attention from people that are not into G-Shocks usually, and that is the result of a much cleaner and simpler design of this model. It looks a lot more serious, and less like a toy. I personally LOVE the design and love the size! The GA 2100 comes in more and more color variations meaning Casio is aware of it's success. Although I got this all black version that looks the coolest, if I were to buy again, I would got for the regular black and white, as the legibility on this is pretty poor for everyday wear!
Since the design is bound to become iconic, I REALLY REALLY wish Casio makes a METAL SHROUD AND BRACELET version as well, as that would be a true TOUGH AND AFFORDABLE ROYAL OAK G-Shock!!

Being both the smallest and lightest G Shock I have makes the GA2100 my daily go to. It's so comfortable that there have been times when I have forgotten I even had it on.
I've had this watch for nearly two years now, got it a few weeks after it was released and I absolutely love it. Works and looks flawlessly.

The model I choose is the GBA-800 in the orange or yellow version as I want something bright as a beater in my truck...
Just like the 5600, they’ll build upon this foundation as well. Can’t wait until they do. Received the ga2100su-1a as a gift for my bday. Absolutely love it

I own a lot of gshocks. Mainly just always buy the military styled versions whenever a new one comes out. Majority are freaking overkill huge. I hate having to take it off just to put on my jacket, and not be able to bend my wrist all the way. Most have all sorts of features I never use. I really only use the time, temp, and compass when they have those features but aren’t needed. I prefer less functions. Less functions I feel make it a more reliable watch with less things to break. Def dig it, and how it’s not too thick.

G Shocks are too big for me normally. This one however, is not. Bought mine a couple of weeks ago and it’s not left my wrist. Great design.

Jack Tyler I have quite thin wrists and I think this would be too big for me, however some baby-G models can be had blacked out or dark/tan and those fit me fine, so you should have no issues. But there are also several Casio JDM models that also work well for me, but I don't think they are sold outside Japan, at least I've never seen them.

Ive had my Mudmaster GG 1000 for the last 4 years and love it. Was recently looking at the Mudmaster GWG 1000 all in black, but financially I'll need to hold off on that for now but maybe this 2100 in all black may do the job till then.

I’d never normally wear something from Casio but after reading about this watch, I tried it on when I was at the mall and the moment it was on my wrist I knew i had to have it. What a fantastic watch, wears so well. Move over Submariner this is my new every day watch.

I've been watching it (this exact all-black variant) for some time and I finally pulled the trigger. I'm beginning to be a Casio collector now, it seems. Currently I have the DB-34H, EFA-131, GW-M5610B and now this one :D

What would you recommend for a small to medium size wrist, this or the 5610?
@@denismocanu3854 It all depends on the taste and the occasion, I guess. I am wearing the 5610 on a daily basis and on some occasions I switch to the Oak. They are both very similar in size, so they should both fit your wrist. Good luck!
I loved it. The design is great and it's not too big or bulky. It's simple. Most of all I was able to choose one in my favorite color

I am a high horology watch collector and have been for 20 years. My guilty pleasure has also been been collecting G shocks during that time too. When the GA2100 was released I purchased one immediately. As I can not wear the majority of mine high end watches casually, this has not left my wrist most days. Absolutely love it. If they come out with a steel or gold version, I will definitely purchase it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I need accuracy like an atomic, I need a bit of flash, I need legibility,I need solar--bit of a hard sell for most looking for a gshock--there are other G’s That do it for me, although this offering is highly subtle And understated, I get it

I also need sapphire. Hard to find a watch with all the above. Even hard to find sapphire gshocks that aren't top tier models. I don't want my face getting scratched up.

Pretty cool watch actually... haven’t thought that about any watch in a good while. Most CZcams watch guys make this mistake. Don’t show the watch exclusively in close up. Zoom out, let us see what it looks like at a distance. Not right up on it the entire time

I wish that a slim, g-shock (replaceable outer parts) style, full digital, larger digit casio watch would come. Squares are cool but they could be slimmer a little bit and higher in screen ratio.
W800 and 217. Both great watches and pretty much as durable. Only downside is the crystal isn't protected by the bezel like on gshocks

Turns out the combi bracelet fits, but lug to lug or something creates a small gap between the 'endlink' and bezel. Casio need to make interchangables for this!

It really is the design. I’m not a fan of G Shock watches generally even though I have a huge wrist and don’t mind a bigger bulkier watch but I just don’t like the style of G Shocks. This 1 I will be picking up it looks fantastic
Just got the black&white version today, looks awesome! It is very light, it looks like it would be a heavy, bulky watch, but you can barely tell it's on your wrist. Well done Casio!

I’m not sure when the grey color came out but it came yesterday and I’m so happy, I wish you could have featured it in the video. It has a similar aesthetic that would be provided by stainless steel even though it’s the carbon resin

I bought red one and it was my first g shock idk if i have done the right decision but i dont like those big shock cuz i have a small wrist
I appreciate why people like G Shocks, but they have never, not once made me even think about reaching into my pocket. This one however looks great and for the money, I can't see why anyone wouldn't want one of these. If they ever put out a stainless version as you mentioned I'm sure sales would absolutely rocket.

G Shock DW5600 case has always reminded me of Nautilus 5711. Now they have their Royal Oak too :)
Davor Banovic I agree with you!! The GA-2100 is the Royal Oak of AP and the DW-5600 the Nautilus of PATEK PHILLIP all at a 10th of the price because as beautiful as they are, they are also very sensitive and a G-Shock is tough yet strong in everyway!!
I can't find this watch under 150 bucks. Casio definitely put up the price since sales started to go up. The 99 bucks said on the video is not true anymore. :( But still, fantastic watch!

After having this watch on my radar or a fair few moths, I actually got the Stealth from eBay this week. I paid £180 which is kind of a fair price for a watch so popular and sold out everywhere, I just hope for my sake that Casio don't add more stealth into the market so I can at least retain the value or get more if I do decide to sell in the future.
In terms of the 'useless' LED, I have to disagree, if you're used to wearing watches, even with poor lume you still have knowledge of what time it is even if it's a slight silohette from the hands. I had a GA-100MB-1AER a few years ago and if you want to see a useless LED, I'd recommend that one. Completely useless in pitch black, at least this one gives a fairly decent glow across the whole dial and indexes.
