During a presentation for the Move to Mexico Membership, Ivonne Pavaan of Host Relocation gave an important warning regarding streamlining your finances before moving to Mexico. You can watch it at 4:51 🤓
You covered so many interesting and informative topics in such a short period of time. You are getting better every day, Alex! My husband and I have already decided to become members. Thanks
Thanks for another great video. So often after watching one of your videos I am thinking that
you made a topic I considered complicated easy to approach. Much appreciated.

Glad it was helpful!
Buena info Alex
It's interesting how stringent it is moving to Mexico compared to crossing the border in America it's just very interesting perspective.. if you get my drift. basically it's a complete free for all in the US
Thank you Alex! I am now in San Miguel de Allende! Your advice is still is important. At 70, I can’t get affordable insurance, but I have already had one surgery, which my travel insurance paid for everything. Now I am here, and I have another operation coming up soon. I found the cost to be very, very reasonable, so I will pay in cash!
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Susan!
When I was in Argentina they also asked for the same requirements. The way I got around it was paying three to Five months in advance. Then after that I would pay 2 to 4 months in advance. Also I would recommend keep a mail box service in the IS as you’d resident for your bank and taxes. Charles Schwab is great.
Charles Schwab is excellent, but yes, you do need to have a US address on file with them. Were you able to use a virtual mail service address as your address on file with Charles Schwab?
@@alex-wittman yes I was able to us my mail service. I list the address as a apt # and also use WhatsApp and wificalling can call directly to people cell and home phone no charge
Espero que bien
Hola Alex! I am from India and eagerly wait for your videos. There is a chance that my current employer may transfer me from India to Guadalajara, so was more interested in and had enjoyed all of your Guadalajara videos.
Hi Anna, I am looking to relocate to Guadalajara to open up call center. I would like to know a good trendy upscale safe area to get a place and open the office. Thanks joe
I spent a lot of time in and around Americana & really liked it. Providencia is another popular area.
Hola Alex como estas?
Muy bien! Gracias por ver!

NEVER close your American credit cards or bank accounts. NEVER. You still need that American financial footprint. Those relationships will always be necessary. You also need to keep your money in USD and in American banks accounts and only transfer to local Mexican accounts as needed.
I think you misunderstood what was said. She was talking about people consolidating accounts, not completely eliminating them.
I'm told by my banker that closing credit card accounts hurts your credit rating.
I think sometimes people just get caught up in streamlining their finances & don't realize they might need bank past account statements for different processes in Mexico. I don't recommend forgoing all US institutions for a Mexican bank account.
