I'm glad that the DS5 is bulky now.
I used to be a DS fan, but when I got my hands on an Xbox 360 controller (which I prefer over the last two Xbox controller designs), and finished Skyrim with it, I realized that having my left thumb stay upward most of the time just like my right thumb is a really good decision for Xbox controller designers - even Nintendo chose to do it.
For me, the way all my fingers are positioned nearer to its neutral position on Xbox controllers thus letting me play for extended periods made it much more comfortable compared to Dual Shocks that require my fingers to grip kinda closer to a closed fist position for my fingers.

the best example of haptic feedback is in the iphone 7 and 8 where it doesn't have a physical home button but it uses haptic feedback to trick you into thinking it does

The PS5 Controller is really starting to grow on me, even though I never disliked it, it looks like a worthy successor to the Dualshock 4. Can't wait to see the console itself. Not a fan of the all white buttons though.

I mean not really. It’s basic ergonomics. The Xbox controller is more supportive and cups a larger portion of your hands. That being said that can cause discomfort for people with very small hands. The dual shocks design is outdated. Sorry but it’s the truth.
@@sarahwood8943 i would rather have my joysticks closer though tbh as they are used more then the dpad and the contoller is comfortable for a majority of hand sizes and i feel the grip is better personsonally also i like how the middle is filled more than the xbox makes it look a bit better in my opinion

I can't stand more than 1 hour playing with a dual shock, the thumb sticks on Xbox are in the perfect position and you can easily slide your thumb below for the D-Pad instead of moving it across the controller. It's more efficient and the controller shape itself is more comfortable.
It's 70% as to why I got into consoles and also why I chose Xbox.

Controllers are the most important part ,that’s what will distinguish how long and how easy with less hand problems you will have in long intervals . It literally took decades to where the current XBox controller is ,it’s easily the most comforting controller ever created ,it’s extremely important knowing the info in determining which system to get because in the end that’s what counts .

Never played on PlayStation, but I would assume it's the Xbox controller smooth and curvy design with no sharp edges. In contrast, the PlayStation 4 controller has a more rough-edged and more retro design.
GTAVictor9128 For me it’s quite the opposite. I don’t notice any rough edges on my DS4, but after using the Xbox one and PS4 controller, the PS4 controller just feels softer and easier to reach the buttons whereas Xbox One feels hard and less versatile (for example you have to take your thumb off the left stick to press the D-pad whereas on the DS4 you have a choice to use your pointer finger and still have full control over the left joystick). It’s still all about preference.
YT I agree with you on the part that on Xbox controllers some buttons are harder to reach like the dpad but I’m used to it because I’ve been using Xbox for 8 or 9 years as for ps controllers (I rarely use) I find uncomfortable because I’m not used to its shape and i would always be pressing the wrong buttons on it an example is in shooting games on Xbox we use rt (right top) and on ps it’s the button on top which would be rb on Xbox (sorry idk the ps controls) so yes it’s all about preferences

I only had my PS4 for about 2 years, bought it off my cousin when he upgrade to the pro, it is that white console/controller PS4 that came with destiny ( just to give perspective of how old it is). Hes played countless hours with it and when I bought it the controller still works flawlessly and holds a charge well. I wish i got a PS4 sooner as i have every Sony system but now i can enjoy exclusives on the cheap lol. This new controller is slick!

I personally feel that the xbox controller is more comfortable because it has the left stick on top rather than being the other way round. Its used more often and so its placement at the natural resting position of the thumb makes sense!

I honestly don't understand what's the deal with incorporated batteries or not. I've had a PS4 controller for 5 years or so and still works just fine. And even if it lasts a little less, I can just play with the cable. It's not like I have to do yoga while playing

Series X is much more comfortable to me and it’s build so much better but the haptic feedback on ps5 is game changing if done correctly

??? It's a gaming channel. Of course they will compare the tech before it drops. Every channel has compared the systems already before they drop. I don't see the problem. Any tech news would do this.
You do know you dont need to have the controller to compare the two right? We can compare with what we already see about it like the shape,design, button function and shape etc. There still plenty of things to compare the two even if we don't have it yet so chill lol

I like how the Dualsense is the DualShock 4 with some white 'armor' over the controller. On the other hand, I thought the new Xbox controller was literally the same as last time until Falco pointed out the new button.

I’m glad they aren’t changing up the Xbox controller as it’s the best one out there and isn’t really much you can change apart from adding a few little features but then why add that to it when you can make a different one for 150 with all that better shit on it

They also got rid of the dip where the Xbox button is at the top of the controller, and added better grip on the triggers

I remember coming from my Xbox 360 controller to the PS4 and in a week using the PS controller I had pain in my hands, specifically on the thumbs.
I have a switch and a ps4 and the switch Pro controller is way more comfortable to play for an extended time with and it is probably more similar to an xbox controller.
