THE LONG JOURNEY HOME (Philippines Roadtrip Northern Samar to Southern Leyte)

And I didn't even make it home!
My motorbike roadtrip from Northern Samar to Southern Leyte, the length of the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines, took me three days. Roads were variable, let's say. But it is always an adventure.
From a wander and a BBQ stop around Silvino Lubos, Northern Samar's summer capital and a beautiful town newly opened to traffic just a couple of years ago, through Catarman and Lope de Vega to Calbayog, where I absolutely have to have one of Christian's British Burgers again - except he made it even bigger!
Then onwards to Tacloban, where things don't quite work out, but it was a fun trip all the same - and after seeing friends, onwards towards Southern Leyte.
One last adventure of this trip awaits - in Panaon Island.
I said I'd be back - and here I am!

Well, if you travelled south from Tacloban to Palo, Tanauan, Tolosa, Dulag, ect. you passed close to our house. We are 300 meters off the national highway in Tolosa, Leyte.
I travelled through Tolosa - beautiful stretch of highway! One day I will figure out exactly where your house is and come to say hello!

@reneabrea4123 whoah there tiger. Not picking a fight here. His bisaya is excellent, he lives in davao, after all. Tagalog is useful if he travels to other provinces. Though most speak english, a smattering of Tagalog can go a long ways.

KD you are more suited for the Philippines. Your personality can jibe well and express with the locals which maybe you can"t when you are in your place in UK or in Europe.
