My old guy (our cat) is at the same stage. We've been giving him kitten nutrition and kitty high protein soups. He also has been getting some plain homecooked shredded chicken. We are now past his expected life span, but he's content, still using the litter box, and cuddling full time with any open lap. The vet even suggested goat milk, but our guy only drinks it slightly warm and thinned a bit with water.
I hope Kenji recovers and, when he's ready, slips into God's loving arms from yours, in peace and with love.

I ALWAYS have a can of PLAIN pumpkin puree (NEVER with spices) in my pantry next to the doggie treats. Great for constipation & diarrhea.
A little Pepto may help Kenji. My Vet told me a little Pepto when my dogs vomit.

It is so hard to watch a beloved pet show signs of age and sickness. That happened to me last year. My 17 year old rat terrier, Lily, passed. I understand your heart. This isn’t an easy journey, but I am blessed with many beautiful memories. God bless the family.
Kenji has been such a big part of your lives and the kids. Giving nothing but love and cuddles for so many years. My two sons and I had a Border Collie and his name was Bear. Got him when he was about six weeks old. My son's were only 2 and 3 1/2 years old at that time. He lived 20 long loving years and my boys didn't know life without him. Always by their side and waiting for them to get off the bus or come home after being out with friends and he considered himself a young boy as well while playing ball or running around outside playing tag with them. As he got older he started having hip problems and the vet was impressed at how old and healthy he was aside from his hips. But he never let that stop him from being there for the boys. The protector, and the one they talked to about personal things and the one that cuddled with them all those years. He knew he was important to us and we always told him and thanked him. He faught so hard to stay with us. When the day came that we had to say goodbye, we told him again, "Thank you for being the best friend, and thank you for loving us and I told him looking him in his eyes, Thank you for helping me raise these boys, you did a great job helping Mommy, you can go now, the boys are grown and you did the best job and you can rest now. He took a breath, and looked at the boys and then me and closed his eyes. This is very hard for me to talk about. I'm still sad by the loss and the boys now much Older still tell stories about Bear. He was an amazing part of our lives. Seeing Kenji has made me smile so many times watching your videos and always made me think of Bear and the happiness he brought to my life. 🥰❤️

When my dog gets sick. Our vet recommended. Chicken n rice soup well rinsed. Add 2 Tbsp of plain pumpkin. And some soft tummy rubs 💕

I remember the day the vet told me it was time for me to think about my dog's, Austin, life. I told him to be quiet and walked out right then. A couple of months later, Austin wasn't doing well, and HE knew it was time. I knew he was in pain and had to face the inevitable. It's what pet guardians do for THEM, not for what people want. If we could, we would keep them forever to love❤

As long as you keep sick animals hydrated and ask a vet what else they want you to do, serious harm is unlikely. That said the sticky gravy in dog food is packed with protein and nutrients. In the past I have ground down beef and made a sticky gravy for my German shepherd that stayed down and was not thrown up! Good luck and keep any sick animal dry (coat or blanket) and in the warm but not overheated) as per the advice of my local Vet!

Please take Kenji to the vet. If he has thrown up for more than 3 days he needs to go to vet. Give him some chicken broth with a little rice. See if he can hold that down if not get him to the vet immediately please.❤❤❤❤❤

Poor Kenji! We hope he feels better soon! Outr Maxie had several rounds of not being able to eat, and then feeling better. Hopefully, that will be the same for Kenji. Giving hin tons of kisses also will help him, but they will really help you as well! ❤ 🐕

Watch you often. Was so excited to see Jeremy was from HI. We have a son and family with 3 grands on Big Island and Maui and Kauai before that. We’ve had horses all our lives and husband is equine vet, and had good results with mid to older geldings paired with other horses, and often 4H horses that kids sell when they go off to college. May be a good place to find a buddy.❤

Just a small tip on sheetrock, after snapping the sheetrock and it dangles instead of cutting through the same side try cutting from the underside, much easier and the paper won't rip.

Regarding Kenji. I realize he is elderly and has had some health challenges, but are you aware of the ongoing issues with pet foods right now? I’d suggest making a meal of some ground turkey, cooked, and canned pumpkin. Give him hugs from me too. My crew consists of 🐕 and six 🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈!

I don't comment very often. However, I look forward to your weekly video. You two never cease to amaze me. I absolutely love your family and the way you are raising your children. The love you have shines through every thing you do. The only advice I have to share is about your very loved Kenji. My vet suggested white rice and chicken in 3 small servings a day when my Lilo wasn't feeling very well. I gave her about a cup. This helped settle her tummy and helped prevent weight loss. God has his hand on you. ❤
Your oldest son's hair is the "bomb". I wish my hair had that many waves. I hope the dog recovers soon.
