Dont know if you said it but still going to say it : IN EARLY / MID GAME, NO MATTER THE SET, IF YOU HAVE THE GOOD MAIN STAT / GOOD SUBSTATS, KEEP IT / USE IT !
Lets say you have a 5* (or 6* thats the same) speed boots, you dont care if the set is destroy, keep it, and get that speed. Ofc speed set will be better, but for now, you can totally use it
Same for 6* crit dmg gloves, def% gloves / chest etc.
After that, you'll upgrade it by having more good substats / more good rolls (or better main statif you didnt have a good one) and then, the set you want ! :P
PS : Even Manibal said so : keep legendary flat stat pieces as well, if you roll it (at +4 if it doesn't go into speed, sell it, if it goes to speed, keep rolling it, if at +8 if he doesnt go into speed, sell it, etc.) and imagine you get a quad roll (lets say.. on speed substat !), well you can totally use it, you DO NOT CARE about the main stat on your ATB Booster in arena, you only want to outspeed your opponent, so the juicy +28 speed will help you, not the main stat on seeker / siphi for example, but ofc, then you upgrade it later by having a quad roll speed AND a good main stat, and later again, a quad roll speed, with a good main stat AND a speed set !
This..... In very early game this.... Hell my frank still has common six star speed boots on him that dropped from nightmare.... Currently being used in spider 20.....

They really need to add more gear slots. can't imagine how stressful it is for a person in the late end game like you having to trash good pieces of gear just to make room.
Nice. You have already installed the stats over sets mindset into me with your previous vids but I always look at sets as a secondary thought. Getting good lifesteal sets with the right speed/accuracy/defence is my current goal for clan boss and your vids have got me to 3key nm atm. Thx Mr H 😀🙏🏼

As for in-the-bin tier gear sets... there's a tiny bit usefulness for low-mid tier accounts using a Curse Set on Lordly Legionary (to increase A1 hit strikes, even if you lack a heal reduction champ. Of course, the debuff can upgrade if you have a 100% heal reduction champ so no issues there).

Great video, this will help me a lot for managing my gear in my late game and F2P accounts. Maybe you could do a low level dive in on your thought process for determining what gear pieces have good substats / okay subs / bad subs and how rolls determine whether or not you keep them?
I'd love to see a firebrand set in the game that puts an hp burn on opponents like the freeze armor. Not sure why they haven't.

Gonna have to dissagree with you on fury. it's actually the best set for a ME based UK team for toons that cant run relentless. 25% dmg at 50% hp is huge for a ME comp no matter if it's supports in Bateater, your toons in like 2x ME comps or even a budget UK. Yes its very niche but with people always trying to push dmg and getting to the next threshhold (3key, 2key, 1key etc.) a set like fury can actually be rlly useful. Def not a set that goes straight in the bin.

completely agree. Moving to Fury set in my UK ME team took me from about 55mil/key to an easy 1 key UNM

I agree for the most part. But I happen to run a Avenging set on my Mountain King, who is really slow for the arena. Works really great against skullcrowns, Rae, Sinesha etc. Especially paired up with Raglin and Maulie and Scyl with high resist. Don’t loose many def battles haha
Another Vid from Hell Hades that goes on my watch later list so I can come back and refer to it a second and third time.
I use regeneration set on my Black Knight. Works fine. I also think everyone should remember not too blindly discard any of the lower tier sets if it's a good artifact.
Possible video idea. I noticed during watching this video my Zargala is built with many sets that should have gone straight in the bin. One set from Crit DMG, one set from Crit Chance and the last from ATK.
Essentially, how would you tackle rebuilding a champ like this? Complete tear down, Piece meal, or depends? The hard part of it all is a lot of the gear is fully maxed and some 6 star. I think this might be a great video idea.
Trying to set up my Infernal Baroness for spider 20 tanking in a counterattack gear. While the gear is not there yet, I used her in tag team arena and she won the second half of the fight against 4 champs solo because the counterattack aoe damage + self heal. I was really surprised by that.

That was very helpful....And you did a great job of explaining it. So you have an amazing amount of great artifacts not on champions that are sitting on lvl 16 hanging around.... Waiting to be substituted in? I can't afford swapping for particular Battles without costing so much especially if those are nice sets. Also i saw how many Swift Parrys you have at 6 star lengendary. Wow. Charmed?
I do like Avenging gear with a few champs like Jack and Black Knight b/c, in pvp, crit happens all the time and champs that can survive and thrive off getting hit do well with it. It's great in Tag Arena for sure. Might as well benefit from the extra 5% counterattack compared to Retailiation's.

holy crap Ive never felt so validated and proud of myself after seeing your inventory is literally identical to mine HA... Seems rational minds would come to the same conclusions. I do think theres much more hope for Frenzy and reflex gear down the line, frenzy especially. Mostly using it now on hybrid arena/dungeon builds for champs that i use in tag and dungeons. Trying to find someone for Regen gear as well. And as much as wish Fury worked as a set, I do think the best rolls in my account are on single pieces of lego and epic Fury kit. Thanks as always sir. Frost Set I feel is really underrated for people without a fast Spider comp to help mitigate the damage. Honestly it works great in any of the dungeons really since you know the affinity you are facing.
Hell Hades: have you play tested Fury sets? As a 4 piece set that adds up to 25% damage, would this be viable for unkillable CB comps? If there's a DecreaseDEF debuff on CB, Savage and Cruel seem less necessary, so what about Fury? Thanks.
could you make a general tier ranking of gear substat combinations??
I disagree with Toxic set being in C tier , especially in early game . If you got Elhain or Athel as your starter this can really help you progress in Dragons where most likely you gonna farm the most in early to mid game. And Frenzy becomes extremely strong late game Not many people realise how strong Frenzy set can be.
Half of your reasoning is good, but your starter you are 99% of the time running in lifesteal gear, so you are not going to have 1 - space to equip a 4 piece toxic set, and 2 - good enough stats on the toxic set to make them useful in campaign and arena, where you will most likely also be needing them.
I'm 7.5 months into the game, farming brutal. I've done a bit of NM, not much. When should I be concerned with 3 starring NM for the rewards? I've 2 starred it about halfway through the campaigns, and 3 starred most of the 1st campaign (my first 6 star drops started appearing here). its so expensive energy-wise, its painful to do.... but I know it needs to be done at some point, but when?

Retaliation Set is underrated. Some Champs with good A1´s or passives that trigger though attacks can really take off with it. Its OP on A1 provoke/stun/freeze champs or champs that blast with their A1´s like skullcrown, Baron, Cupidus and some others, especially combined with def-retribution mastery. It is almost a pure Arena Set though.
Rage Set would only be good on some nuke champs that have some unkillable/block dmg at low health passive or revive+instant turn going on. like Skullcrown, Daywalker, Basilisk or brakus maybe useable on tuhak too.

Is Scyl better in relentless than stun set? I've put mine in stun set and because the a2 is a two hit it ends up stunning way more people than normal.
i use avir the alchmage with toxic in faction war. his a two provides small poison small decrease attack and small decrease speed on 3 turn cooldown
Consider relentless set for Doompriest in faction wars. Elegaius might be a good champ for frenzy set based on his abilities.
Fury set is actually amazing on seeker for the bateater comp!

Fury might be awesome with the new champ coming as a lot of its skill are based on how low its HP are, so why not go ahead and max its damage with the fury set.

Speaking of gear sets, can you rattle some limbs about making Relentless gear forgeable. Sure you can get it from tournaments but you can also get Swift Parry from plat arena, so they seem similar to me (and I stress “similar”). I think this would be good to make yet another hard to get set a bit more “farmable.”
I feel like fury has a place but that’s just an opinion. Love your stuff H.

Miss the champ spotlight vids HH! Love the content though. I just want an unkillable team!!! No Santa, no tower, no man eater. Gear isn’t good enough for end game damage builds.
My pvp teams are in immunity or stun sets lol
Cb champs in perception or stalwart bek keeps me healed, fw teams in life steal and acc sets speed is on everyone!

I dont know why Plarium made some of those sets at the bottom ( in the bin). I assume they copied them straight from summoners war. That being said I did see a Russian CZcamsr video where he put Astralith in the avenging set ( with I assume high resist) and with her A1 turn meter gain, then her bomb move and her HP swap, he did pretty well in Arena ( quite search on youtube pulls it up, its not in english). It was an older video, so I am not sure if changes to the game negated his impressive display.

Fury is used for UNM CB to get more damage for unkillable.
i would say toxic is like a D rank set. it has SOME very niche uses. for instance most of my clan runs the batmaneater cb comp. putting 2 or 3 of em in toxic raised their damage SIGNIFICANTLY. but aside from super niche end game i agree, in the bin. (basically just keep amazing pieces you find, nothing short of WOW! pieces though)

I just battled 30+ times using nearly 300 energy trying to get 1 pair of crit rate gloves 4 or 5 star and could NOT get them!!! I was in campaign 2:4.... This is absurd! What am I doing wrong??
you need more love for the reflex set, it's a higher % chance to procc than relentless and does pretty much the same thing.
I use poison set on my drex'thar for clan boss, he went from 5-6mil to 9-11 on UNM
So, I think fury is a pretty good set, especially in FW. I'd argue that this applies to dungeons too, but anyone clearing stage 20 in sub 5 minutes is running a team with decent front loaded dmg and thats is not where this set shines so theres no point arguing about it. Basically what fury does for you is give you "reactive speed", which is pretty great. Champs that provide ally protection and defensive buffs are best suited for this set.

Just a suggestion, could you possibly move your body so it doesn't cover things you are trying to cover. For example, in this video you are blocking the bottom left pictures. As a new player I have no idea what gear that is being shown.
Got to end game with minimal dungeon runs. No Life Steal on any champ ever. And spent $85 over a year. The only thing I hurt for now is having enough speed gear for FW. But as F2P I don't ever expect to beat FW. Yeah you can, but it is not realistic to expect to do it. Can 2 key UNM with my UK and working on 1 key for NM. Also don't have relentless on anyone. Basically just started doing all broken sets with some speed and acc sets sprinkled in. Speed sets on Arbiter obviously and Acc on Madame.

Yeah, resilience is good for the ally protection types, because they need defense in order to work at all, but they need plenty ofHP in order to survive using their skills, and avoid being targeted by enemy AI upon losing too much of HP. It also has a rather specific use for Var-Gall, because he just needs as much as both stats as you can get, to get you through FW.

You put the life set very low, significantly lower than immortal, but it actually has some good use. You can put it on hp-based champs like Sir Nicholas or Harvest Jack since they need hp so much and it will work almost as well as immortal for them. It's also much easier to farm for life since CB can only be done 3 times a day even with an endgame team, where ice golem could be run 30 times a day without a problem.
I actually disagree with one two sets: the first being HP ( take a shield champ and stack that high and they are golden. ) and the second being Attack ( which I use when I actively dont want crit damage/crit rate. )

id disagree on some of the sets. swift parry is for sure the second best dps set right after savage for any DD. S-tier for sure. the unkillable can also help slow down enemy attacks during arena reset. also shield, and cruel are among favorites. in contrast divine speed is hard to get any so id rank them no higher then A and resist is highly situational so A or B tier imo. deflection is complete garbage for a 4 piece set. they go right in the bin unless they have godlike stats. relentless after the nerf is also pretty sad imo. no higher then C tier. id rather get 24% more speed.
