I like these types of games that have a mix of humor and horror, since they both follow similar formulas. Something about a cartoon sheep spinning and no clipping while explaining overdrive triggers is both funny and unsettling

It's almost like seeing into a game developer's mind on a tight deadline: starting out with one idea, then fretting over whether it'll work, before throwing your hands up and smashing the whole thing to pieces just in time to turn it in.

So when you're playing a game like this, sometimes there will be a border on the side. Nothing is supposed to appear in this border, as it is usually just meant to take up space.

@Not Sure Yes, that's why I said yellow on yellow, and not gray on gray. It's also true the colorblind can see different shades, regardless off color, but that makes color puzzles only slightly less difficult. Darker yellow on yellow is still harder to find than red on green.

Another game where it starts off as a short, innocent game that turns into a morbid nightmare
It has same vibe from another game but it's older and about my little pony
The only difference seems that this dood we are playing as is a Dev and WE have to make THE GAME
I badly wanted the overdrive trigger mechanic to be in the 'final product.'

This game teaches you how to be a programmer, sort of like the indie game Human Resource Machine. In this game, you learn all about syntax and keywords and other basic programming principles.
Uh I don't think this really teaches someone anything about being a programmer

The model showing up in the borders outside the "game window" at 17:53 is really upsetting. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that before, it kinda rules. I especially love the fact that it gets closer as you approach the body, forcing you to let it stand there in the corner of your eye

gotta say, this game's pretty awesome. this, along with Helltaker and GO HOME, is one of the few extremely memorable games you've covered; it doesn't take itself seriously and yet it still has time for some extremely well-made and creative horror. it's pretty neat.

the moment one sprite went out of the 4:3 aspect ratio I jumped, more than any fucking jumpscare made me jump before. So simple, yet so terrifying

Horror games that give creepy vibes and feelings are THE best. I feel like those kinds really get a person genuinely scared, compared to a jumpscare (jumpscares just seem to forced) I really love how things look soooooo detailed in this as well! I havent seen a horror game like this before, and it's amazing
This game really sent me sivers down my spine, especially the part where you see the dead body or a ghost on the black border, this is a top horror game of 2020 for me , seriously i cannot sleep, kind of has the same energy to an older horror game about my little pony, forgot about that name.

As a game developer, I would prefer my engine being possessed by an evil spirit rather then by all those bugs that require 3 hours of unity answers browsing to be fixed.
