My boys and I joke about this very thing. Our theory is that RRs are very reliable off-road, but go into instant failure mode as soon as they touch paved surfaces...

JLR tech here, they already have bulletins to tear apart the entire engine and the Range Rover/ Range Rover Sport just came out here in the US.

I like how modern but rugged this car looks. It's still every bit as impressive as any other Range Rover, but now has some updated and sleek lines that make it so cool. It is both elegant but sporty as well, and I think that is hard to pull off.
It's also hard to pull off door handle failing and only being few weeks old. Definitely number 1 in unreliability rankings
Typically, I get over the appearance of a car after the first few months of it being on the road but I just can’t get over the rear of this thing lol

I always love your beginnings, especially the synchronized door slam. I have yet to see a video where the slam is off, even by a fraction of a second. Does that part ever take several takes to get it right, or do you nail it on the first try most times?
I think it usually takes them a few tries to get right. In some of their past videos they've got it on the first try and they purposely don't cut it, so you hear them say "FIRST TRY, LET'S GO!!!"
I can't find any specific examples, but they're out there.

I love my svr and it’s 5.0 supercharged v8, also love my x5 m50, so now with the 4.4 twinturbo v8 in the rover, it can easily be tuned now :)

They’ve had these doors in their cars for years, and have had no issue. It’s just a case of bad luck here.
They’ve been using these door handles since 2017 and their some of the strongest ones in the industry to break ice build up, it’s just bad luck.
Just imagine spending $160,000 on a car and the windows don't work a week into having it

Supposedly they say that they've solved oil consumption probs on this engine but that remains to be seen

Easy fix for Land Rovers with broken door handles. Just take them to a non-Land Rover dealership and trade it in for anything else. No more pesky broken door handles!

I see absolutely nothing that explains the price. However, I also see that the legendary Land Rover, electronics reliability, survives intact between generations.
The standard SE trim with the V8 is all you need and it's a much more reasonable $163k CAD ($122,800 USD)

I have full-time peasant blockers. I put 5% ceramic tint in the back of both my truck and car. 20% up front. Local cops don't care and the sheriff department won't mess with me.
Land Rover makes beautiful cars….BUT the reliability is so trash, makes no sense for what these cost. There almost guaranteed to break.

@@NavjotHothi17 no it's less than for my vw passat b7 with 290'000km. I bring it to a friend, so costs aren't that much of a deal. The first 3 services were completely for free.
The car only broke down once, but got fixed the day after.

A lot of SUVs at this level use a ZF transmission, it’s not BMW specific, I really hope using BMW engines doesn’t end the same way it did back in the day.
I like the new Land Rover/ Range Rover models but their missing a boxy off-roader they should have a stripped down defender and Range Rover for off road without the bling.

No one makes interiors like the range rover . However those back lights don't look as good as the old model . I've stared too long at my friends new RR and I am not used to it .
I had a Land Rover 3 years ago. It spent a WHOLE year at the dealer getting fixed. I drove a loaner vehicle for an entire year and in the end, my car didn't get fixed. They ended up buying it back. Never again..
