@@MrBodies07 ahh lord the Silva vs Griffin was such a fire KO him going backward like that the whole fight silva was in the matrix also his front kick KO on Belfort the Cerrone vs story is up there for favorite combo same with Mcgregor vs Alvarez because Mcgregor catches him as he is falling down but yet he still connects great call on those @mrbodies07

When I used to do MMA I was told to keep on hitting them after they’re down,The reason being is because sometimes you don’t fully knock somebody out, and their just dazed and they can actually get up and recover, if that happens the ref doesn’t call the fight. In some circumstances putting someone down like that is an act of mercy.

@@hailarwotanaz5848 I’ve always had difficulty hitting somebody while they’re down, I was raised in the country, by my grandpa, Who raised me off of the values of his dad which was an older dad, Born in the 1800s, my grandpa used to tell me “never put the boots to a man while he’s down”. And it always kind of stuck with me I always felt like I could never really hit somebody while they’re down unless I really hated the person.

UFC is fun to watch and I watch everytime it is on, but it is hardcore at times. Especially the knockouts when their heads smack the ground.

They hit them when they're down to make sure, so they don't get back up and potentially win the fight. Its happened
as an ex MMA fighter, im gonna answer your qustion. you keep going until the ref pulls you off. some times the ref doesnt get there in time, but its what were trained to do. keep going until youre stopped
That 2006 era was when I started watching and getting into mma. I was already in high school wrestling at the time and thought it looked fun. Havent had a real fight yet, but I still train.
The Anderson Silva fight where you said "don't get too cocky". He was so dominant that was the only way he could get guys to come at him for a few years. That loss was July of 2013. His previous loss was in 2006, which was a disqualification. The last fighter to actually beat him was 2004. One of the best of all time. A highlight reel of him wouldn't be a bad watch.
And when he fought chris again he snapped his leg in half.

You gotta imagine they have so much adrenaline and nerves when they’re in the fights so they’ll keep throwing until the ref pulls them off. It’s definitely tough to watch! And most of these guys and girls become fighters because they feel like they don’t have other skills, and because they’ll get a BUNCH of money if they get famous
Yeah..no..the reason they keep punching is sometimes a person get just get back up and keep fighting so they punch until the ref stops the fight.

The in-ring officials are the biggest badasses. It's obvious they have total respect. Who wants to jump into the middle of a fucking fist fight? Ever do that at a bar? It doesn't turn out well. Imagine doing it with a frenzied pro MMA fighter.
You don't stop until the ref stops you. So when they get hit after being knocked down it's all legal.
The reason quinton “rampage” Jackson kept hitting wanderlei was because they had very serious issues personally and between gyms and teams along time ago and that carried over into ufc later on. They want to kill each other, literally to this day. I know both of them and have trained with both of them and have lived in Vegas most of my life and they are both great guys, wanderlei is just more serious and doesn’t understand rampages humor because it’s foreign humor so they just never clicked. Plus all the stuff between their teams in pride and their previous fights. They weren’t fighting for sport 10-15 years ago. They were trying to kill
