Mbappe was awful all tournament. What I like is that he owned up to it and said it was a failure for him personally as well as the team. Years ago I watched a documentary a couple of years before the world cup in Brazil, it would have been 2012 or thereabout. It was about various things, Brazils chances in the upcoming world cup in 2014 etc. In the program they interviewed a coach at a famous amateur club, this club had provided many players for the pro clubs in Brazil over the years. The coach was seriously worried about the way Brazilian football was going because clubs were putting speed and strength over skill, he predicted bad days ahead for the national team if they did not change their reliance on power and strength over skill, we all know what happened to Brazil in that world cup. You are correct, bring back skilful footballers instead of athletes.

As a french man who has watched football for 34 years, I ve seen the Greatest play and Mbappe doesnt have the Attitude , Mindset and the Right Attitude or even Approach of the Game to win. He is copying Ronaldo R 7 in the worst way wanting all the shine,, he wants control over everything, every stats.
Everything Emanuel Petit said was the Exact truth and here in France a lot of people who first Loved Kylian Mbappe and were proud of him, are feeling betrayed cause since he won the World Cup in 2018 and Pele Mentioned him, his head became so damn Big, he became way more arrogant and controlling over the pitch and even in Paris Saint Germain which Lead to this last Catastrophic Season, yeah it s all on him again and his bad "entourage".
How could you have a French team Scoreless when you have players like Barkola,, Griezman, Giroud. Giroud who could have scored many Goals but nobody I mean nobody want to give him the ball and when he receive something it s a shitty Ball, despite him being in great positions alone on the pitch and despite him being the best french Scorer of All time ( and look how bad Deschamps treated him this Euro). Mbappe will do crosses and passes for Dembele, Kolo Muani, Thuram but not Giroud (he miust be jealous of him or something).
All of this can only happen because Deschamps allowed it and turned his back against Griezman, Giroud to Focus on Mbappe, Mbappe I wish he would not play for National Team anymore that s how bad I feel about him and the way he sucks, and wont play with his teamates unless he really really has to cause he s blocked.or stuck.

Petit definitely lives to complain. Granted, France massively underperformed and Mbappe was not at his best. However, you can't ignore how problematic that broken nose would be. Obviously it would affect your breathing, which is going to lead to sleeping issues. Not to mention, he wasn't helped by his teammates failing to perform. As much as a great player is expected at times to produce something through their own quality they also need teammates to provide them with service, which he wasn't getting. His most dangerous moments were due to his own play. This is also someone who is still only 25 and has had two standout World Cups, one of which was only a year and a half ago. To seemingly write him off already is ridiculous.

And 52 goals and 20 assists in 61 matches for club and country over the past calendar year. Not to mention he’s the 10th all time leading Champions League scorer at only 25 and will easily be 6th all time by this time next year. And he’s already on 12 World Cup goals at only 25 and on pace to break Klose’s record of 16 World Cup goals.
